I believe in God and have a very personal relationship with Him, but do not follow the teachings of any religion as I think they are all based on mostly man made traditions etc. This is the word I received from God. Most of the questions on R & S seem to focus on Christians or on atheists. Although I know that Jesus exists and that He is with God this very moment, I don't pretend to know why he came to earth or if his death had anything to do with forgiveness of sin...thus I can not be classified as a Christian. My God has only told me that He sent Jesus, that Jesus is with him now, and that Jesus is special to Him. God has also told me that each person is called by Him and that it is up to them to either ignore Him or answer. No doctrine or dogma involved...just the personal relationship...including the constant presence of God in ones life. I would not give it up to go back to being a "churchy person" Anyone else feel similarly?

I am not sure what "Churchy" means. I personally go to church to learn and worship God. I am not a part of anything in particular and I have not joined. But I do know that I need to be in God's presence with other believers for edification.

The personal relationship can be had by reading the Word and abiding in Christ so that the fruit of the Spirit is present in your life with the help of the Holy Spirit. If you can do that without benefit of fellowship with other believers, more power to you.

God Bless

You acknowledge that your belief is not a Christian belief and you are correct. Especially if you believe that Jesus is with God. That is in error. Jesus is God. So when you speak to Jesus you are speaking to God.

A personal relationship is not the same as a marriage. And when you are married you are called by the name of the one you love.. In Acts 11:26 the followers of Jesus Christ were first called Christians. "And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch." Also if you are a true believer you will attend church to with fellow believers as they did in the Bible days.

as a rule in seniors, yet while i prefer to rack up some factors speedy, i pass to P & S. The questions are speedy and livid there. no person bothers to grant a score, and hardly do you get a ultimate answer, yet i'm getting factors there. in spite of the incontrovertible fact that it form of feels to be all fluff and no substance. I additionally dabble in abode adorning and Elections. Elections is often good for stirring something up. I used to hold in faith & Spirituality, in spite of the incontrovertible fact that it have been given too tough for this unfavourable little Christian lady. the class is extra like Anti-Christ and Spirits. a great form of evil is lurking around there! yet Seniors is a secure place with friendly faces.

Join the club, although I still consider myself christian, Esoteric Christian Mystic, because I believe Jesus was an enlightened being, perhaps even an ascended master sent here as a guide, which means following his teachings makes sense to me.
