In the Bible it says in the Book of Exodus 4:22, God says, "Israel is my son, even my first born". And in Jeremiah 31:9, he says "...for I (God) am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my first born".
Which one of them was the first born? There is normally only one first born. Or were Israel and Ephraim both twins?

I work long hours, and I share a room at home with my unemployed cousin, so I can't do it there - woudn't feel comfortable even after he goes to sleep.
We are quite a number of us in the family (not to mention the coz), so I am pressured for time when using the home restroom in the morning for shower time..... I try my best not to make any noise in the stall at work on my lunch break, and I always make sure to leave the area clean......

one to help me. At 34, I'm separated from my hubby, no kids, no friends and no close family. She also said she feels she has no one either, since dad is 78 and has mild dementia. I feel bad for her but also for myself. What should I do? I asked hubby to leave b/c after 8 years of marriage we had not had sex ONCE. Should I go back to him? Wouldn't that just be using him and unfair to him? Our marriage wasn't just about sex (obviously), but shouldn't I try to have a fulfilling life , physically and in every other way? I'd especially like Christian believers to answer this. Thanks.

My husband is getting a tattoo with this latin phrase but I am having trouble making sure that the grammar is correct. Is it "Sic vis pacem parabellum" or is it "Sic vis pacem para bellum." I'm not sure if parabellum is one word or two. I believe it is one. And am I correct to think that we can use either Sic or Si? Thanks a lot.

I notice that a lot of people ignorantly misuse Jesus saying concerniing judging. They often like to say "judge not lest ye be judged, judge not lest ye be judged", when they find themselves condemned according to God's Word.

If we look closely at the Words of our Lord, we read:
Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.” (Matthew 7:1-5).

Could someone make a list for me of all the Mormon doctrine and traditions that were originally ideas from the Kabbalah.

And then make a list of all the doctrines and traditions that were Mason influenced

And last make a separate list of all the doctrines and traditions that were influenced by the magical religious culture Joseph Smith lived in, and the political climate?

Thnx.

To top it off, what if a soothsayer also tells you that you're going to die young (withouth looking at your palm)?

This happened to a friend of mine, who doesn't believe in all these things but accompanied a couple of friends who wanted to see their fortune with a soothsayer. After telling the fortunes of all her other friends, the soothsayer turns to her and starts telling her her fortune (some of which have come true) and ended it off by saying that she would die young.
