This happened to a friend of mine, who doesn't believe in all these things but accompanied a couple of friends who wanted to see their fortune with a soothsayer. After telling the fortunes of all her other friends, the soothsayer turns to her and starts telling her her fortune (some of which have come true) and ended it off by saying that she would die young.

You can't tell how long someone is going to live from their life line, anyone that does tell you is not a good reader. A long deep lifeline means strong health. A break on the life line means a change in direction of your life, (change careers, move countries etc), small lines crossing your life line shows when you were most under the influence of others! AND, as someone else has already said the lines on your hand do change as you get older. So destiny really is in your own hands (literally)
And any fortune teller who tells someone they are going to die young should be reported, its a very dangerous thing to say to anybody, and I think its impossible to tell, cause some people do more in one year, than others do in a 'life time'

Palmistry or cheiromancy is only ONE form of divination. The lines in your palm can change over the matter of a few years. A short lifeline today may develop into a much longer one in 5 or 6 years. A palm reading should only be taken with seriousness as warnings of how things MAY go if you're not careful and make foolish mistakes. If someone tells you about a particular reading of your palm, simply take the commonsense precautions and simply avoid taking the risks indicated. the visible length of your lifeline may NOT be the TRUE length of it. It simply means that you haven't developed that particular line just yet. Don't stay awak nights worrying about it, live your life to the fullest and just do your best to not screw up much and you'll be just fine.

I had the same thing happen to me. I have a broken life line that runs all away across my palm. But a girl read my palm and said I had no life line. Of course this happened when I was a kid. Well sure enough I almost died last year. I almost went into Diabetic shock. My body started shutting down because I had Diabetes. I didn't know at the time and my Blood Sugar was at a dangerous level.
I have learned that sometimes Death can be avoided by common sense. Take care of your health and you will live longer.
Well, I am still alive and I plan on living for many years to come. Your life line doesn't determine your life span. Your Destiny is only predetermined by your actions and the actions of others. Of course your fate is your fate. Old age, disease, natural disasters, these are natural deaths. But man-made deaths can be avoided with good common sense.

look...palmistry is a great knowladge and a huge part of astrology..one can't determine the longevity..of any one..to some extend it can be done through your birth chart with viewing the 8th and the 6th house and can be predicted by 7th house gochar...which is very complicated and a well experienced guru or sadhak can tell not all this stupids astrologers...because it requires a huge impact of studying and knowledgce...as much i know 12th house is also responsible for death i.e not for death i mean after life..it's the house of detachment from material world..i have came through some text referring as if ketu is situated in 12th house a person could get moksha...
