For exhibit A, I offer the following link to a question currently under debate here in R&S:

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Avc9z701sFVPHfUWsRB9L.vsy6IX?qid=20070110203625AAwbD0t&show=7#profile-info-c7da0c8f1c2be61f59895b51f5f80ce8aa

Does this seem like Christian self-destruction? Valuable discourse? A tempest in a teapot? Or counting imaginary angels on the head of a pin?

Whenever I look at europe i see a place who has far less hangups than americans. I've seen American questions on here about not letting young girls wear thong underwhere as if some cloths under your clothes is somehow a bad thing. Americans are against women going topless in public where men can go topless and they can't explain why it's wrong and say that it just is. They have hangups about naked people, but we are all just people and we know what each other has under our cloths. I've been to nude beaches and it's no big deal. Europeans don't have these hangups. I've heard from some Americans that sex between two teenage girls is bad. A practice that will not get a girl pregnant but people can't give a good reason as to why it's bad, other than to say it just is. People say pot should remain against the law but it's proven booze is far more dangerous and adictive than marijuana but they don't want booze made illegal.
Why are Americans such backwards prudes?

An older woman who is a new employee at my work place keeps coming on to me, initiate conversation, checking on me, trying to befriend me in every possible way. Initially I was friendly with her, but then I soon realized she's not normal in the head. It seems she constantly need someone to talk to but she can't seem to find anyone at work to be friend with except me. I am really sick and tired of her coming on behavior, but have to be very polite to her when refusing to chit chat with her. She is persistent and my patience has ran out. I don't want to complain about her to a supervisor. How to get her off me??? PLEASE HELP ME GET RID OF THIS CRAZY NUT!

into heaven. what about the good people who lead good lives and are kind and loving? i ask this because there are many good people without "sin" that just don't believe in god, but they live their lives the way "god" wants them too, what about them?

A. Is there any feature of your theory which is subject to scientific test? This is often stated: is creationism scientific in the sense that it could be falsified? (After Karl Popper's criterion.) Another way of phrasing it is: is there any kind of observation which, if it were seen, would change your theory?

B. Is there any observation which has changed your theory?

C. Is your theory open to change, and if so, what criteria are there for accepting change?

This "answers" feature just proves to me that we are doomed as a society. I can not believe what dumb questions kids these days ask, and how dumb they really are. Where are their parents??

Whats up with that? More than likely than not they aren't afraid of people that are gay, they simply don't agree with their lifestyle; and don't think its morally, ethically, or naturally right. Whats wrong with having a belief like that? I'll tell you what's wrong with it, nothing at all. What is wrong is when people try to pass off their un-natural behavior as perfectly normal and expect normal people to accept it whole heartedly.. that goes with homosexuality or anything else.

To me life is horrible, and so are some of the people in it. If I commited suicide would I end up in hell, as I am a Christian who loves God and Jesus, but not this world, I would rather Heaven any day than this life. But I have heard if there is a Hell that it does not matter if you are a Christian you still go there if you take your life, is that true? To me this life is Hell, and I want to get out of this Hell, but I do not want to go to another one trillion times worse that this one. I do not want to take that risk, but I do not want to live either as this life sucks. Christians do you feel the same way, and if you do what do you do?

There are many things I dont like about the US, capitalism, racism, selfishness, militarism/imperialism, and virtually the only one thing that it has that other Western countries dont have is buttloads of money. Does anyone feel the same way?

Coldness does not exist, nor does darkness. Coldness is the absense of heat or energy and can not be measured. The only thing you can measure is the absense of heat. Darkness does not exist either. It is actually the absense of light. You can use a prism to study light, but can not study wavelengths of dark because it's the absense of light. We still have a concept of these words, although they can not be proven and are not real. It may be something you sense though.
Please, no offensive answers. Just talking between adult minds.

It’s funny when we sit and talk with our friends we give a list of all the things we want from our lovers. We want for them to be some many things, and when we don’t get them we questions ourselves and all the things we do and all the things we stand for. So what does good love feel like? Or do we think we feel good love or is just a myth we build in our minds to convince ourselves that we can be one day happy and that things will some what work. In a way is wishful thinking and a hopeful want. So what does good love feel like?
