No it is NOT okay with God. There's a verse in the Bible, and it says God will not allow a man to destroy himself. Which means God won't allow you to kill yourself regardless of the situations. Just because you are suffering and in pain doesn't always mean you are going to die. Pray to Jesus and he'll take away your pain and suffering. That is what Jesus is here for. Also if you are to commit suicide, you know exactly where you are going.

Jake,
My mother has been in tremendous pain for the last 55 years and she would never take the chance of being in HeLL for such a thing. I believe that if you committ suicide then you have essentially murdered yourself and committed a sin that you will have No OppOrTunIty to ask forgiveness for. This would condemn you, I believe. I would ask the FATHER for HIS assistance with the pain and suffering. HE is more likely to help a Christian with such a problem than satan would. Read Phillipians 4:13 and Have a BeTTeR evening!

It has been my experience that if I have to ask questions like this, the answer is usually no.

What if at the very last moment, you were to be healed? You robbed yourself of your blessing and a witness for him.

If you are a God loving/Fearing person, even if you die, you will be alright and you should know that. Most of us want to go to heaven, but none of us wants to die.

If you are trolling to get a controversy raging, you really are messing on dangerous ground.

My Opinion

Committing suicide is sin. For three reasons:

First, it is disobedience to the command of God, "You shall not murder" (Exodus 20:13). And disobedience to God’s commands is sin.

Second, it is presumption upon God’s sovereign prerogatives to give and take life. God alone can create a human person, and therefore personhood belongs to God. We have no right to dispose of ourselves or others as we please. The Lord has sole rights over what he has made. Murder and suicide intrude on the sacred ground where God alone is the giver and taker.

Third, it is failure to trust in God for the help needed to survive and cope. And the Bible says that whatever is not from faith is sin (Romans 14:23).

Therefore, I'm on firm biblical ground when I say: it is sin take your own life.

With this fact in mind, do you seriously want to chance it? Why gamble with your soul? Think about it.

In my opinion. It is never OK to kill yourself. You don't have the ability to give life so you can't take life. And you don't have the right to say when it's your time. If you are suffering and in pain i suggest you prey.

Peace!
If suicide is committed with the intention of setting an example, especially to the young, it takes on the gravity of scandal. Voluntary cooperation in suicide is contrary to the moral law. Grave psychological disturbances, anguish or grave fear of hardship, suffering or torture can diminish the responsibility of the one committing suicide.
We should not despair of the eternal salvation of persons who have taken their own lives. By ways known to him alone, God can provide the opportunity for salutary repentance. The Church prays for persons who have taken their own lives.

I say no, God is in control and if he is using suffering to teach you something then it has a purpose....... Across the board all religions condemn suicide,,,,,,, not that it is eternal hell as the christians might say, but it does harm the soul...... we are here for what we can give not what we can get,,,,,, and suicide hurts others more than us.,,,,,,, live for others if not for ourselves

euthenasia has always been a controversial subject with christians. it is my PERSONAL BELIEF that god would not want you to be in pain more than is your fair share. i believe that he would want you to be happy, and if heaven is where you are happy, then it is your choice.

however, i do not recommend suicide for emotional reasons. i would only say that it is alright if it is because you have a fatal illness with no cure and you are in considerable pain. please, there is always therapy for depression. GOD LOVES YOU!

I think people who kill themselves are the bravest people in the whole world. None of them kill themselves so that they can go to hell. Their belief in a better life is stronger than mine
