media noche = midnight

mala noche = bad night (not having been able to sleep)

I think you mean Media Noche (midnight), cuz there's no word in spanish as melanoche.

maybe in Puerto Rican it means midnight...but proper spanish is "media noche"...(medeeah no-che)
