Ok, so I've got some friends, as much as I love them, they are so messy! I'll admit that sometimes when I visit, I'll leave a piece of (wrapped!) candy here or there, and leave things slightly diseveled but I promise 9 times out of 10 I'll clean up my messes, I unwrap a candy bar, I throw away the wrapper, I spill a little bit of soda, I run get a napkin and clean it. Unfortunately they are not usually so courteous, I'm not asking for them to be perfect and neat, but at least clean up candy wrappers and wipe up spills. I've tried banning food from my room, but eventually I cave and bring some in, is there another way I can have them clean up the basic stuff without being mean or rude?

An Exeter primary school used worksheets to tell children that 'only small children believe in Father Christmas' and that the Post Office replied to thousands of letters sent to Santa. Outraged parents now have letters of apology from the Head teacher and the worksheets have been withdrawn. Since when were teachers obliged to promote myth and apologise for telling the truth? More seriously, what responsibility do parents share for contributing to unbelief in God today by their disproportionate insistence on patently obvious fairy-tales? This is a recent development compared with belief in God. Would you parents think twice about encouraging your children to believe in Santa Claus if you knew that would lead them to be agnostic or atheist at a later stage? Or are most of the parents who go along with this agnostics and atheists themselves?

I say that the different races of the world are all different. They are not the same "inside" despite skin colour and physical characteristics. Each race is (on average) different. Some races are more intelligent than others while some are physically better than others while some are more adapted to certain climates, etc. So the races are NOT the same. There is MUCH more different than just skin colour (as some people like to go on about).

But it doesn't mean that one should disrespect someone of a different race in regards to rights or laws.

Agree/disagree and WHY?

We've been dating for 4 months, but I spent over a week with his family over Thanksgiving, and feel pretty close to his mom and stepdad. I would normally go gift basket route, but I sent a really nice one as a thank you for having me for Thanksgiving. He is in VT, I'm in CA, so it makes it more difficult as I have to send it. Otherwise, I would just make them toffee and fudge. HELP!

What about earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes, the deadly uranium fields of Siberia, killer volcanos, crippling diseases and Kansas ?

Are they all testaments to the "wonder of god's creation" too.

If they are he screwed up big time !

I work with a group of 6 African American women who very in age from about 55 to 19 I myself am Hispanic. This group of women are not friendly with any other coworkers and at times are down right rude. As a group they are mean and hateful, they gossip about coworkers and make our work environment very difficult and unfriendly. I supervise this group of people and i see the things they do but its so sly its hard to pinpoint it. Employees from other departments that come here are all treated rudely by these staff unless they are African American. They have been talked to by our HR department but have denied any wrong doing. Stating they can prefer the company of any employees and we can not dictate to them who to be friends with. My boss said its "Cultural" so there’s nothing we can do about it. Is it ok for African Americans to discrimanate against co workers? As an employer is there nothing that can be done?

Do you go and drive around to look at Christmas Lights with your family? If so, do you do it every year, and to a specific location or do you spice it up and do a different one each year?
