talking snakes and donkeys, the sun and moon halted in the sky, a woman turned into a salt lick, pairs of every creature on the Earth stuffed into a boat, leprosy cured by sacrificing doves, she bears attacking and killing children for teasing a bald holy man, the color and pattern of goat offspring determined by the pregnant goat seeing certain colored sticks, walking staffs turned in snakes, blindness cured with holy man spittle, a holy man taking a stroll on atop water, dead people rising from their tombs ... etc etc.

The Bible is the inspired word of God. If God says it, I believe it,
and that's that. The Bible says that Christians are foolish to
the world, because the worldly people's eyes are closed and
they don't understand.

It is not "don't believe". It is question if how the story is told is accurate as we understand it. I believe our interpretation may sometimes be too literal.

Do you believe everything science has ever said?
Scientists change their minds fairly regularly.
There are things in the Bible that are hard to understand, or prove. That does not mean they are false.
Read the Bible for yourself. Don't take the word of someone who has never studied it.

Sure. There are a lot of verses that I don't believe ..... when they are taken out of context (or misinterpreted) and quoted by Bubba preachers, who have only one theme: To grow and maintain their religious empires.

Prime example: "Lean not on your own understanding."

This verse was meant as ........ "be openminded" - (God Criticized us about a 100 times for being stiff necked.)

The Bubba preachers love to say "Lean not on your own understanding but Lean on me understanding God and telling you what to do with your life.

Sure, it refers to lean on the word of God.

And just what is the word of God, the theme of the Bible, and Jesus' message?

1. Harmony is harmony

2. Disharmony is the only sin against God.

The bible is the inspired word of God. Every part of it is. I accept it in it's entirety or I could not call myself a Christian.

Luke 9:26 For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels.
