No. "X" is simply an abbreviation for "Christ." In the original Greek, the word was "Christos" and the word started with an "X." Christians have been using the "X" to mean "Christ" in shorthand for a few hundred years.

No, I believe in Christmas and I still say Xmas sometimes when I'm being lazy. But it is disrespectful to write it like that. Its basically X-ing out Jesus Christ, and if your Christian, then my advice would to be to spell it out, even if it means writing 5 letters instead of 1.
