Everyday I read about someone or some group of people getting pissed about something or another.. Taking something personal! Race, Religion, Genders, damn about anything! Now I know that there IS some topics or comments that should NEVER be said, but why has peoples differences and opinions become so terrible?! I personally like a difference of opions and views! It's ToTaLLY way more fun and interesting!! Be different and keep your own views and don't be pissy that others have different ones!

Please don't stone me. I have heard something disturbing and I just wanted you to say whether it is true or false and to give you a chance to explain and defend yourselves if you want to.

I have heard that it is part of the Islam religion to kill all infidels. That one of Islam's goals is a world without them. I am a westerner and considered an infidel to Islam. Do you really want to destroy us? I sincerely want to know if this is true.

No angry comments please, and people who aren't Muslim, no insulting them please.

The kind of gift that doesn't look too cheap, either. I work with at least 7 people I have to buy for, so I have to budget myself. Does a name brand wallet (Express, Gap, etc) seem ok?- I thought so, since the name brand would indicate that it did not come cheap. I don't know what else, since: she doesn't like perfumes, is a huge shopper & loves to spend, & if I can help it- I prefer getting people gifts rather than gift cards. Also, when you're in a situation like mine (at work), what is the proper amt to spend? Thanks!

In America, bikini model publications usually list "vital stats" of the model, such as her age, height, weight, and bust, waist, and hip measurements.

But in Japan, they list her blood type!
This seems really bizarre to me.
Does anyone know why this is?
Do Japanese men find a woman's blood type sexy? Is it some kind of turn-on?
Is this just a product of a different culture?

James 3

13Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show it by his good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. 14But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. 15Such "wisdom" does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, of the devil. 16For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.

17But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.

'And if you (Arab pagans, Jews, and Christians) are in doubt concerning that which We have sent down (i.e. the Quran) to Our slave (Muhammad Peace be upon him ), then produce a Surah (chapter) of the like thereof and call your witnesses (supporters and helpers) besides Allah, if you are truthful.' (Qur'an 2:23)

'O Children of Israel! Remember My Favour which I bestowed upon you, and fulfill (your obligations to) My Covenant (with you) so that I fulfill (My Obligations to) your covenant (with Me), and fear none but Me.'
And believe in what I have sent down (this Quran), confirming that which is with you, [the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)], and be not the first to disbelieve therein, and buy [get (تاiذ اجرا)] not with My Verses [the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] a small price (i.e. getting a small gain by selling My Verses), and fear Me and Me Alone. (Qur'an 2:40-41)

"scientific" people can help give excuses as to why it cant possibly have anything to do with religion or spirituality...just because they like to argue, because they must not have had much attention when they were younger.

Christians and Muslims: I respect religion and religious people, so please don't use my question as a bash-board.

Well, my assumption is, religion exists in most human beings and every trait the human beings have is a useful trait, so says evolution, so religion has kept its place during the ages. Also, please remember that there is a gene that determines if we are religious or not. (That is a gross generalisation but helps me express my idea.)

Atheists, what function do you think religious feelings serve in human societies and history. Please remember that there were/are pagan, shaman, Hinduist, Budhhist, Shintoist religions, too, and each have a different set of social rules.

For the past couple years, I have been hearing people in the business world say things like: "I will meet with you on tomorrow.", or "I finished that project on yesterday.", or "I will email the directions to the party on today."

When did this become proper grammar? For me, it has become an annoying pet peeve!

What shall we do with them?

I propose we construct a larger-than-life version of one of those commercial mincers we see in a butcher's shop. So, the opening is 4 feet across, rather than 4 inches - you get the scale? You should see the torque on these things - I've even dropped in frozen joints, and they come out neatly minced!

So, when the heroin addict is convicted in court of their 500th burglary, we simply 'throw the switch' and mince 'em up!

No more benefits to pay, prison costs, crime falls drastically, and at the same time we create food for our livestock!

I dream of a city center sans-tracksuits, whilst I can almost hear the wind howling through empty, abandoned prisons across the UK, police officers in the Job Center queue, musing about 'the good old days'.

Heaven, could indeed be a place on Earth...
