If I believe in and love God, but I disagree with and hate the Bible. I was wondering, what does that make me? As far as religion goes.

that makes you human.
not everyone has the same image of god. if everyone who believed in and loved god the same way, there would be only one world religion, and i don't see that happening any time soon. so fear not and proceed to love god in your own way and don't let people push the bible on you. :)

This is why Christians say they believe in the God of the Bible. We didn't just pull out of thin air the doctrine we except. The Bible gives us reason for faith in God. I don't have any idea what you can hold to for spiritual stability. I guess you get to keep creating your god and you are always evolving in your faith.. When can you possible know when it's complete? Jim

You know. I used to think that believing in God was enough, but actually it's not. No offense. (James 2:19 You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.)
As read in the scripture above, even the demons believe that there is a God and yet, they aren't going to make it. I hope that you do get a chance to sit and read the bible because it's really awesome to digest. There's war, betrayal, love, insanity, and the key to heaven in there. Please give it a read. Acts 2:38.

Well you're a theist, since you believe in God. You're not a Christian or a Jew, since you disagree with the bible. That's about all I can say without knowing what exactly your beliefs about God are.

James 5:12-But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation.

Matthew 5:37-But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.

Be all for Christ or all for Satan. Anyone that tries to straddle on the fence as far as God is concerned; they are on the side of Satan.

So If your gonna have faith in God, then it's good for your soul that you believe in His word as well. If there's parts you dont quite understand or arnt sure about, ask a man or woman of God(Jesus Christ) that's been saved longer than you, to explain it for you.

I will try and put this gently, please don't think I say this critically: disagreement with -- and hate of -- the Bible means you are not a Jew, nor are you a Christian. In order to be one of these, you must accept God's commandments and live by them.

Peace.
