ok...my plan was to go to law school and plan B if i didnt get in was to go to grad school...but i'm thinking now, is law school really for me?? i am such an opiniated person i dont know if that would be the right stuff for me but again with a law degree i can always get a job anywhere...my major is political science what major can i get in grad school with that major as my undergrad background?? please be honest cause i have until next week to submit my law school applications...please help i am so confused...thank you!

I intend no offense here, but one problem I've always had with believing in God is that the very idea of him is taught to man by man. Now I know in this instance one may say God is working through us. The problem I have with this idea is how can anyone claim to know the mind of God? Why is that not presumptious on our part?

I am not against those that disagree with the lifestyle of homosexuals. I don't care what the majority's opinion is. I just don't understand WHAT you base your "righteous opinions" on and how you deliver them. I'm sure others will agree with me when I say it's not your opinion. It's how you say it. It's how you think for the simple fact that I'm gay that my lifestyle is beneath yours. It's how you feel about it. I am an individual who volunteers, loves kids, helps out my family tremendously, hold no prejudices whatsover, very openminded(about all things).... and you're going to come "preaching" to me when YOU sin more than I do. YOU are going to come JUDGING me when you are BUT a man. When did God give you this right to be so self-righteous?? I disagree with no one's opinion.... they're 'facts' yes... they're opinion... NO. If I come up here and post a respectful question and you come with some upturned nose type of answer... that's uncalled for....

i always end up dreaming that i keep on running away from something. and once it was something like FBI's then some sort of soldiers, then some skeletons dressed up in the British soldier uniform, and once as i remember running through a huge shopping centre from police and then ending up being in a lift and just kept on going up and it was so light and all i could see were clouds, and it felt like i kept on going up but when the doors opened the wind blew in my face and i woke up...i know it's weird, but hey i just need some answers! Specifically, the rosie o'donnell on the view incident. she totally wan't trying to be insulting and didn't know what she said could be taken as insulting, but all kinds of people are up in arms and want barbara walters to make a public apology on her behalf and are boycotting the show--seriously, am I the only one who thinks this is ridiculous? and yes--call me whatever you want, I am not going to get offended whatsoever. I think other people should feel the same way. take it as it was meant. a joke. maybe an immature joke, innappropriate for national tv, but not meant in a purposefully hurtful way. does anyone else agree?

A friend's dad has cancer and is currently being treated. Each chemo therapy let's say costs 200,000 (where the monthly salary of a bank manager may be around 50,000 per month as a basis to accomodate currencies). She's having depression because of her family's situation: not enough finances for her dad, dad acts up by being a brat, sister coming home from abroad, mom stressed by the dad's brattiness, she wants to get married etc. And then, she plans on taking her savings, and go to let's say a tourist island to have a vacation which would cost around 9,000 per person. She has been confiding in me a couple of weeks ago that they need money for her dad's chemo and that the medicines and special food are costing them a lot. They have taken loans and friends have given some money.

I told her I found her decision on going on a vacation in bad taste. She says she deserves a break. Is this the right decision?

My sisters and I have tried to limit our expenses and still make holiday gift giving fun. Last year, we each gave gift cards, but the wrapping had to reflect the receiver's interest. This year, we are giving gifts that start with the letter of the receivers name. (for example, "Books for Bond:, "Sleeping with the Sheltons". My question is how to continue this next year? Our gift limit is $25 per person.
