I guess you mean Christ rising from the grave in 3 days. It is a huge signifcance. Because according to all of the religious doctrine at that time, you were considered absolutely dead with no possible way of praying for your restoration of life into your body. In other words, the 3 days was looked at sort of the same way as when a person "flatlines" in the hospital. After soo many minutes of that, you are pretty much medically diagnosed as "deceased". No one can therefore claim that they had any doing with Jesus being raised from the death, no Rabbi/Priest, but himself alone. It emphatically proved to everyone that he indeed is the Son of GOD, because it countered what every religous leader said was possible or impossible to do after 3 days of death.

God has his reasons. I believe it was to make a point that even after three days of death, God could just come back. The bible tells us that the stink of death had even come, so we know that he was really dead.
