I intend no offense here, but one problem I've always had with believing in God is that the very idea of him is taught to man by man. Now I know in this instance one may say God is working through us. The problem I have with this idea is how can anyone claim to know the mind of God? Why is that not presumptious on our part?

You can know some of the mind of God, however, God, being inifinite in wisdom and so forth, makes it impossible know Him completely, at least on Earth. You, by the power of God, by the Holy Spirit, are called to work in unity with God.

Say you have a friend and you tell someone else about your friend so that they can be friends with them also. You know your friend's likes and dislikes and what they are like and you are able to communicate that to others. It's the same thing with a person teaching someone else about God, so that they themself can get to know God for their own self.

The Bible is God's revelation of Himself to man. If you really want to know what God is like - - read it.

In so doing, you will not only find out about the God of all creation, but you will find out things about yourself, too.
