We have this thing every year for Christmas Eve, where people draw names and get them a $10 gift. Well, this year I got my sisters name and I'm really not sure what to get her. She just got a new trailer today and she lives with her boyfriend. She's 23 years old. She also likes Cherubs, faires, angels, and like fairytale stuff. She also likes fragrences and candles...and what not. So, if anyone has any good ideas on a $10 gift that would be nice for her, please let me know. I need all the help I can get. Oh yeah, and she also likes purple. Thanks for your help in advance.

Was curious to see what everyone,... that celebrates that is,... has planned for Christmas and New Year's Eve? My family is going to go to step-son's house for Christmas this year. Which is a big change. I usually get stuck cooking all of Christmas dinner so it will be nice to not have to do it for once. I am hoping to go to casino for New Year's but still got to sweet talk hubby into that. :)
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all! :)

..contributed to the deaths of the five women in Ipswich? Maniacs like this will always be among us unfortunately (some no doubt religious zealots), but the vulnerability of the these women on the streets will always make them an easy target. And before the 'god squad' pitch in with their facile moralising as in 'the wages of sin are death' etc, I would remind them that it's attitudes like theirs that have condemned these women and others to a cold, lonely and grisly death. I feel should you come on and respond, it would be appropriate to show contrition and humility rather than the faux moral outrage and abuse. No doubt the decent secular community will judge you by your replies. I think any attempt at abuse would rightfully be construed as condoning of and indeed complicity in the acts.

Come down to

"Is Not!!" "Is Too!!"

Since neither side has irrevocable, harcore, tangible proof. Debating certain individual practices of faith, when to go to church, baptism, communion, faith or works, christmas, Jesus, why argue?

Christians, Why do we continue to debate with atheist who are not going to change?

Atheists, Why do you debate with Christians who are not going to change?

We believe what we believe, for whatever reason, so is the argument simply petty? Why do you participate? Fun, to learn, to grow, to antagonize.......?

I fully, totally, completely believe in Pre-Destination. What do you think about it? Do you believe in it? If not why, and please support your reason why you don't.

If you answer " Becuase it's crap" or something similiar to that, you will loose all hope of getting your ten points. May the best answerer win.

Older teens to people in their young 20's have always been the ones to start the new ways of thinking, behaving, getting along. Like the hippis. But all we do is act like a bunch of mindless robots and do what the media tells us to when we should be rebelling against the old ways of life and stereotypes that people try to impose on us. why don't we fight these stereotypes and create our own ways of thinking?

One of my friends asked me why it was ok for a man to sleep around and not ok for women. Men get called studs and players yet women get called s_luts, hos etc. Then it occured to me...I've never been called any of these names by men. It's other women who pass judgement. Before I was married, I was a bit wild and had quite a lot of...fun. I was always careful though, always used protection. I don't think what I did was terrible, I was young, free and single and lived for the moment. The stick I got from other women was dreadful. Also, why if a girl is slim do other women label her anorexic? If a girl is pretty, she's a bitc h, if she gets a good job it's cos she slept her way to the top. Why do we see every other woman as competition? I'm not saying that all women are like this, I know I'm not. I just think sometimes we're our own worst critics.

I come from a Chabad background, but I not longer observe Chabad customs. How do you suggest that I find a girl on the same or similar religious level? I think I want to meet a girl who has "fryed out."
