I have reached that point in my life where I believe Xmas is perfect. My family will be here, need nothing more. If I could change one thiing about it, I would curb the commercialism that has confused so many. This money thing has made it a time of stress & finanial difficulties for so many. Celebrating the family & the grandchildren having fun is my Christmas. Small house, they are here you can barely move, but this is where they all want to be. This little old house where the boys grew up.

That there was a way to make sure that families that can't afford to have a x-mas (especially the ones with children) all had the christmas fare (turkey or ham or both with all the trimmings and the kind of pies and cookies that they love the most) plenty of presents for all.

Aside from the absurd commercialization and the "Bah, humbug" attitude of some folks, I'd just like to replay one Christmas when the kids were little, scampering around in their little footed pajamas singing all the wrong words to Christmas carols and hanging on to their new presents for dear life. They're off to college now but coming home soon and we so love being together. I love Christmas!!

Peace on earth.....Merry Christmas

That families get together more often than just once per year...it seems so odd that a lot of families only spend the holidays together and life is so short spend more than the holidays with loved ones.

I would so change how materialistic Christmas has gotten. I don't know about all of you, but I personally don't have a lot of money to play with and if i bought all the things i REALLY would like to buy, i would be in debt up to my ears! Unbelievable, what ever happened to just getting together exchanging laughter and having dinner going to church getting gussied up and wishing everyone a merry Christmas with cards??? GEEZ....

i would like these days to go back to the way they used to be celebrated.

-everyone helps out to put up and decorate the tree, with Christmas music playing in the background.
-every store gets a bell ringer.
-no black-hearted theives going around the city and destroying evertone's holiday deplays (we don't need those people).
-some nice hot chocolate warming on the stove after i get done shoveling the driveway, and sidewalk.

I agree with you! My other wish is that Christmas was in January. It would be so much nicer to enjoy it then instead of the crush after Thanksgiving. Christmas sneaks up on me every year. I don't have my cards out yet, I haven't bought all my gifts, then there's tons of stuff to do still (baking!)...

I wish all of the family gatherings could all be at 1 time. I have 8 different Christmases to go to. It is ridiculous.

Definitely more giving to those in need. Like donations to animal shelters, shelters for abused women and kids.. etc.. I wish people could maintain that giving feeling all year, but unfortunately, it only happens at Xmas..

Longer holidays, less expensive presents to buy, shorter distance to travel, fewer Scrooges.
