I just learned that my DVD/VHS recorder is on the fritz and I've been through two in the last four years but the t.v. my parents bout in 1989 stile work and does it very well. for a while there the up stair TV would have to be replace once a year.

i am ust to saying "little one/ones" to children so to me i fell better saying midget and i feel if i say little people i am comparing them to children.

I meant no harm. But, as I read other peoples questions I've come across people asking about sex, drugs, and even child molestation. Its a big "whatever" to me, but somebody red flagged me. I just wanted to read silly stories about people and their antics.

I might not know all religions but try to understand what they think. I asked what religion is the one between many. Those who answered proposed me their religion, they proposed me their BELIEF. From the beginning, the revelation was made toward a god, that belief was passed on from generation to generations. Did one of you though that it was possible that the religion changed throughout time from mouth to mouth till they put it into a book? A person believes something not from his or her heart at first but from influence usually from parents. I was baptised because my dad was catholic. After my parents divorced, I lived with my mom who's asian and followed my mom's bouddhism side. I don't believe in that phylosophy and don't pray. I didn't read the bible so how can I believe in jesus? Thus, religions have influenced people and make them believe it...that's how i see it.Feel free to leave any comment

First they tried with that shroud of turin garbage and it was proven fake. Then they tried by saying that they found noahs ark and yet they dont allow anyone to see it. Then they go and say that theres a statue of mary thats bleeding, but it was found that there was someone hoaxing that. Are they that desperate to try and prove there lies and get more converts?

In my Science & Religion class, we read one book that was written by mostly devout Catholics, and they accepted evolution. Another book was written by mostly evangelical Christians, and they also accepted evolution. Another book was called, "Can a Darwinian be a Christian?" and the answer was yes.

So what's the problem?

So, I am a 5'9" female. I've always been tall and thin and about a year ago I lost about 20 lbs and was down to 113 for my height. I was always told "wow you are so thin!" "do you eat?" "you are a twig" etc. Well I had problems with my period cycle and was told to gain weight, and also had my parents and family and friends on my back about gaining weight. SO, I gained some weight back and now weigh between 125-130. I feel bigger now, and people will still comment on how thin I am, but every once in a while a guy co-worker will joke around for example the other day I said I needed to get something and a guy I work with said "get your fat butt up there!" Well that HURT! Really bad! I got upset and he goes "YOU KNOW you aren't fat, very far from it!" but people do not understand how one comment can hurt someone's self-esteem that much more. SO, my question is, why do people feel the need to comment on others weight to them?

I jsut saw it posted that someone thought St. Christopher was "dethroned".

Alot of people think he got de-sainted" or something. Its not true. The church simply replaced his feast day with another Saint. Ive heard this alot and i was just wondering how many people thought/think this. I hope that cleared it up.
