I might not know all religions but try to understand what they think. I asked what religion is the one between many. Those who answered proposed me their religion, they proposed me their BELIEF. From the beginning, the revelation was made toward a god, that belief was passed on from generation to generations. Did one of you though that it was possible that the religion changed throughout time from mouth to mouth till they put it into a book? A person believes something not from his or her heart at first but from influence usually from parents. I was baptised because my dad was catholic. After my parents divorced, I lived with my mom who's asian and followed my mom's bouddhism side. I don't believe in that phylosophy and don't pray. I didn't read the bible so how can I believe in jesus? Thus, religions have influenced people and make them believe it...that's how i see it.Feel free to leave any comment

forget the words keep the meaning Buddha said that. no religion is of God, but is of man on how he perceives God, which God can not be understood. Buddhism in my opinion is closer to God than Christianity, there's not a big difference and I'm not talking down on Christ, he didn't make the religion, i was stuck in between several religion growing up. Jesus and Buddha accomplished the same thing through different paths, get the picture. Buddhist dint speak about God because God can not be describe. that doesn't mean they dont believe.

Buddhism is a moral philosophy whose worst weakness is the "non-belief" in God. The ideal buddhist will not deny God's right to exist.
I am Catholic.
You can believe in Jesus if you can accept His miraculous nature, or see that His law was Divine and Just. The law, as given by Jesus, does not really differ from earlier or later religious traditions.
The Bible was written very close to the time of Christ, in fact, before His apostles passed away. Other things, like Tradition, were passed down and moral things considered among the proper clergy. Eventually there was a split in the church. There have been many since.
God came from Heaven in the form of man, begotten by God to a virgin. He lived, told the Truth, and died on a cross, for everyones sin (for sin cannot come before God). In fullfillment with foreshadowing and prophecy of the Jewish faith. He rose again. So great was God's love that He came, loved us, was among us, and died for us. That is basic Christianity.
Pray. Dream. Believe. Amen.

Understand the concept, "Who is God" and it would become simpler to understand God Almighty in its entirety.
God Almighty... a cluster of pure energy is but the sum total of all souls (atmans) in the cosmos at a given point of time. The essence of every soul (atman) being the same as God Almighty... every soul is but a minuscule God in its entity.
The moment the big bang occurs... all souls (atmans) existing in the Cosmos spread all over the cosmos with unimaginable speeds. The magnitude and the scale of the big bang are beyond the comprehension of the human beings to visualize. Nothing that exists in the cosmos in energy form can be visualized by the help of the senses and the mind.
This explosion of the big bang results in creation of a new cosmos... a new beginning! After billions of years when some planets become suitable for giving birth to life... the souls start manifesting body after another. And a planet like Mother Earth is born.
Now... what is this big bang theory! The big bang occurs in what! As has been defined above... the definition of God is, "the sum total of all purified souls atmans in the cosmos at a given point of time is what we know as God Almighty".
This cluster of pure energy we know as God accumulates in its absolute pure state only when the dissolution of the Cosmos occurs in its entirety. It is as if a huge cauldron of fire... a massive black hole has reduced the whole of the Cosmos to the size of half a thumb. It is this stage when every single soul atman in the Cosmos in whatever stage of life it may be liberates after gaining enlightenment and salvation. There is just no escape for the collapse of the whole of Cosmos has occurred.
As has been expressed by Mahavira, the 24th Tirthankara of Jainism that souls atmans in whatever stage of life they may be... continue their journey into the next Cosmos exactly from the point where they stood in the earlier manifestation is totally wrong. This is where the teachings of Jainism are flawed.
Bhagavad Gita... the sacred doctrine of Lord Krishna distinctly clarifies this point. And it is logical that when the collapse of the entire cosmos occurs... the question of souls remaining in their position as such and transitioning into the next Cosmos after the big bang occurs is but a flawed parable that defies all reasoning and logic.
The point of difference where Mahavira went wrong in understanding the teachings of Bhagavad Gita! The reason why Jainism branched into a new thinking pattern as advocated and doctored by Bhagwan Mahavira (the 24th and last Tirthankara of Jainism) is evidenced here. religion is USUALLY influenced by the parents religion. its really rare for a really [lets say]christian family to end up having a [lets say] muslim child. also many parents who believe in their religion very much usually start taking their children to churches, temples, etc at a VERY early age...and children will pretty much swallow anything you tell them. like my boyfriend grew up with a very buddhist background so of coarse his thinking will be more buddhist oriented rather then lets say catholic oriented. i also noticed religion can also be peer pressure based. if lets say i was the only buddhist out of all my friends[everyone else was christian lets say]....then it puts you in an awkward position....kinda makes you feel singled out. i know youth ministries works wonders with peer pressure...i would know since i once joined a christian youth ministry.

The thing you have to realize is that someone IS right. If you believe that there is a God, why don't you just ask him who he is and what he wants from you rather than trying to discern which "religion" is correct.

Reading the bible is not the whole story to christianty because one developes a relationship with God himself that surpasses all understanding. He gives us his holy spirit to lead and guide us and that is in association with the bible as well. God says pray to him in secret and he will reward you openly.

Would you consider yourself to be a good person?
Take the "good test" and see how you do.
