HI - Please serious answers only. I and my husband are Christian, I was raised Episcopalian and my husband was raised Baptist. I tried to look online to read some about each religion but they both appear the same to me. The only thing I can find is the Episcopalian came over from England and that Baptists believe you can was away your sins by being, well, baptized.

We are trying to decide what church to start attended but we haven't attended in years and don't know where to start and they all seem to believe the same stuff.....around us we have Baptist, Episcopal (which I hated giong to as a kid - incredibly boring ), Congregational churches, "new life" churches, methodist, and some non-denominational.

Any info about the real differences would be appreciated. I realize religion is a hot topic, but [please no snide remarks or sales pitches.

I am considered a "geek", "freak" "nerd" and lots of other things...... I dont understand why people are so rude! Tell me, if you are a person who makes fun of others, why? what do you get out of it? When someone makes fun of me, it doesnt bother me....... but I do wonder what the sick twisted minds of the bullies think.... My theory is that their life sucks and they are jealous..... but thats just my theory........ I have lots of friends, so why is it that certain people think they are better? from your point of veiw, tell me!

If the GOVT only taxed you if you made over $40,000 a year or have $40,000 in assets? The people in poverty would keep every nickel they made. Saving wouldn't really be a problem for them anymore; they would be able to save all the money or spend it on their homes and rise out of poverty. And after 3 or 4 years, they would have enough in assets or savings to start being taxed by the GOVT again. BUT, now they would be out of "poverty" and could manage the cost of living in america a little easier now. America should help it's own people living here right? Even if you don't have the almighty dollar, you should be able to live your life the way you chose? the number does not have to be exact $40,000. I just mean that not taxing the people that don't make a heck of alot will in a couple years bring their standard of living way up. give the people on the "bottom" a fighting chance to get to a middle class, which is where everyone should be at.

For example, when Isreal came out of Egyptian slavery, and finally reached the promised land, the 12 tribes were given some time-sensitive commands: stuff they were only supposed to have to do once. The complete destruction of Jericho is one example, as is the command to stone Aachan and his entire family. While there were many "forever laws", like the 10 Commandments, some commands were a one-time event. Does the Koran have any "one-time only" commandments in it? A lot of people like to quote the "kill all the infidels" and "don't be friends with Jews and Christians" verses, as proof of the Muslim faiths xenophobia, but are these commands time-sensitive? Are they commands for all time, or did they address a singular event in the life of Mohammed?

Will she ever switch? I have been doing her housework for her, buying her outfits, cooking her dinner for the last 9 months but so far she only lets me kiss her below her ankles. Her girlfriend thinks its really funny but I just can't stop loving her. Is there anything else I should do for her so that she might accept me as something more?
