Maybe not blood drinking vampires.
But i have heard of physic vampires, where they feed off other peoples energies.
I am assuming they have taken the name of Vampire in this description only because of the understanding that a vampire drains life force (example. blood) where as a physic vampire drains energy.

I have never found one and I've looked for them. But if you think about it its unlikely. If there were 1000 vampires they would need to feed on 1000 people. Out of those 1000 a few would have to be converted, the others would either be dead or have gone to the police. If out of those initial 1000, 500 were turned. Now there are 1500 that need to feed. you get my point? Eventually the entire world would either be vampire, dead or running around like crazies cause they've seen vampires. I have yet to encounter one person to exhibit any of the above characteristics. So using my common sense, I say no.

No. The legends of vampires are based on amalgamations of several cultural figures and occurences. Vlad Dracul II a.k.a Vlad the Impaler was believed to have suffered from a mental disorder where he needed to drink blood to survive as was Hungarian noblewoman Elizabeth Bathory who drank the blood of young girls as she believed it would help maintain her appearance.
Also around this time were plagues such as Typhoid where victims would have bruises that resembled bitemarks on their throat and the skin turned to a pale corpse like state. 17th to 19th century healthcare was not an exact science and all that was needed to declare someone legally dead was to have a doctor say so after a rudimentary exam. Many of these victims were not immediately buried however as church cemeterys were often full and busy so many times corpses were merely stacked like cordwood beside the church. Sometimes these people were merely in a coma and not dead so after a while they would wake from their coma and walk around.
All of these were tied together in Bram Stoker's book "Dracula".

no there are no vampires it was proven to be mathematically wrong. Because if there were vampires back in the day then if you did the math of how many people would be bitten and change into a vampire and how much it would spread you would know that the whole world by now would be nothing but vampires and no humans left. So no Vampires never existed

Yes, they're crawling all over the place, you can't even open a car door without hitting one. Look, do you really think you'll get any serious answers on Yahoo? Would any real vampire be on here? Do you expect them to come out and cheerfully admit that they were? Please.

Yes they do. They have a name for people who crave blood. Supposedly the first dracula actually carried that disorder.
