I would like some help in looking up things in the Koran and other related Islamic holy books. For the Christian Bible, I have a Concordance. It lists every single word in the Bible, and tells exactly which verse it is found it, and gives a few words for each verse. Is there such a reference material for the Koran? If so, does one exist on the web? Can anybody suggest a site for it?

Thanks. It would be easier for me to look up topics by myself this way.

One of my friends told me there is an American Indian story about thundersnow. After much searching I still can't find anything except the technical terms for thundersnow. Anyone know the stories associated with this? Huggers.......Kitty

I do not know if the spelling is even nearly accurate, but I have heard this term used off and on and I cannot determine the general meaning. Any ideas would be great.

I am taking French 1 for school, and I just asked a question on Yahoo Answers France saying "Hello! I am American. Are French guys and ladies nice? Pardon my French! :)". I asked that question in French and someone answered! Basically he said American people are nice too. I couldn't understand exactly what he said, but still, isn't that cool? If anyone out there is learning a foreign language, you should do that! It can really teach you something! :)

I have invited new friends of mine for Christmas dinner. They are here from another country and I thought it would be nice for them to see an "American" Christmas. They are Jewish and don't keep strictly kosher but do observe 'unclean' and no meat with dairy.
As the hostess, should I cut the traditional dairy products out of my meal/offer an alternative. Or - say this our tradition - enjoy.
I don't want to offend them or confuse their children. Any suggestions?

do you think that it's wrong for parents to make their kids believe in the same religion they do at a young age? are they that afraid that they will lose their children if they wait until they are old enough to make an informed decision about which, if any, religion to be that they will not be religious?

It is amazing to me that Americans are not protesting the letter on the internet. We have to take the "Ten Commandments" out of public buildings, and remove crosses and religious things. Why do we let this stranger write this letter and no one complains???

I mean, i know how to pray privately ,its easier because in the end God knows what u mean and he understnads. But it just feels like i say the wrong thing or mumble it funny and i end up feeling stupid in front of my church friends. Is there a prayer structure or a certain way. in that it is concieted to think that we understand God? We think we know what he is is thinking and what he is doing and what he is, but really the only evidence we have is in a collection of books. I think we will never understand what started it all, and we shouldn't think we do.

I have encountered Satan in dreams and visions, expecially when I became a new Christian. So Christians how often have you encounted the harassment of the enemy. Have you ever encounted the enemy in dreams or visions. Satan hates us, and we cannot stand him either. Do you plead the blood of Jesus when he does? This questions are only for Christians because non Christians do not believe in Satan or his evil angels called demons. I know Satan is real, as I have encounted him. Before I became a Christian I did not believe in Him. Since of became one I know the truth now.
