i think it's a great gift, especially if they like movies. i loooove netflix. my husband and i have crazy schedules and we rarely have time to watch movies together and it's great to be able to not have to worry about returning them "on time" great idea!!

It's a good gift if they like to rent movies, and if they like the internet. If not, they won't use it. My dad is a Nascar Fan and I bought him a year of in-car radio, and he never used it because he has dial up and refuses to use Spybot or anti-virus (I had also bought him Norton, which he did not use) so the computer was too slow to run the program. Old people are very stubborn when it comes to computers.

Any mother and father would love the fact that you spent your limited funds on a present for them. Not only that, Netflix is great!

I think it's a nice gift! As long as they are regularly on the internet, and can manage their Queue themselves, it would be fine! Besides, it's what? $14/mo? That's a gift worth $150! Good thinking!

I have children, knowing that you are probably strapped for cash, i would not even expect you to get me anything. if you did whatever it was would be great because it would truly be a surprise. maybe you could make your mother a card too to go along with it, like you probably did when you were little. we love that kind of stuff too.

It's not a good idea for you, since you'll have to pay every month. If you're not planning on paying it every month, then it's an even worse idea.

It's a nice thought ... but honestly I would not ...it seems like a thing a person should choose for themselves, not be signed up for.
