I am *so* doomed. (And the fact that it is a re-post earns me a special place in Hades!)

Have a peace-filled evening!

: )

To the Tune of "We Gather Together"

We gather together
To ask lots of questions
We’ve posers and queries
We wish to make known
Like does our god hate us?
Will he incinerate us?
And which lucky kneelers
Will he call his own?

Just who is Ganesha?
And what did he teach ya’?
And was that guy Judas
A hero or chump?
And can you tell me, ma’am,
The pillars of Islam?
If Buddha took the middle way
Why was he so plump?

The trollish among us
Post drivel to bug us
Like “You’re All Reported!”
And “What Should I Do?”
But we do not hate them
We mostly tolerate them
(‘Cause if you report them
Then they’ll report you!)

We thank Yahoo Answers
For gathering together
The atheist, Christian,
The Muslim, the Jew
We’d never have met them,
We never will forget them
Though they raise our blood pressure
We learn from them too.

If Jesus did not sacrifice himself, and be crucified, would there be more Christians or not? I would say less. That is because instead of killing Jesus, they would kill his followers most likely.

... Forget about rushing crowds, trampling over one another to get the hot item of the year.

Remember putting the finishing touches on that special gift you spent so long to make for someone you love?
Forget about being bothered the day before Christmas HAVING to shop for everyone, and you have no clue what to buy!

Remember everyone waiting patiently by the phone on the wall for that long distant loved one calling at a certain time?
Forget about cell phones, video games, computer, the digital tv.

Remember, as a child, finding special surprizes in your stocking?
Forget about having to buy already made mesh stocking shaped bags full of plastic junk.

Remember spending all day baking and decorating cookies?
Forget about fighting the last minute crowds at the bakery.

Remember gathering together to go Christmas caroling?
Forget the over-played Holiday music of 1,000 versions for 2 mos.

Remember those serving our country overseas,
Forget about war, hatred and disease!

I saw christians on tv selling mail order "blessed water" with crying women, saying it healed their 10 lb stomach tumor, and one lady said she spilled it on herself and it made her paralysis go away. How dare you sell some BS like that and mess with people emotions while the rest of you christians sit back like a bunch of of pu$$yies and do nothing more than sit back and say "oh all of arent like that" you all may not be like that but you all do nothing about it. I though you were supposed to be good moral people?

Ex-Muslim website:

"We are apostates of Islam. We denounce Islam as a false doctrine of hate and terror. However we are not against Muslims who are our own kin and relatives. We do not advocate hate and violence. Muslims are the main victims of Islam. Our goal is to educate them and let them see the truth. We are against Islam and not the Muslims. We strive to bring the Muslims into the fold of humanity. Eradicate Islam so our people can be liberated, so they can prosper and break away from the pillory of Islam. We would like to see Islamic countries dedicate more time to science and less time to Quran and Sharia. We would like to see them prosper and contribute to human civilization. We would like to see the draconian laws of Islam eliminated and people are treated humanely. We strive for freedom of beliefs, for equality of gender and for oneness of mankind. I've been studying this teaching for several years and never once found that the Trinity doctrine is explicitly taught in the scripture. The word "Trinity" is not even found in one place in the whole Bible. The scriptures used to back up the teaching can be applied in other ways. No solid evidence can found to support this teaching.

...but if anyone says anything bad about what THEY believe, they (the fundamentalists) burn with conviction about being persecuted?

If they don't want anyone mocking them, shouldn't they return the favor?

And I'm NOT only talking about Christian fundamentalists, either.

At the risk of sounding racist which will no doubt be the outcry herein ... why then ....

Do Jews always espouse socialism but practice RAMPANT capitalism?

Limosine Liberals mostly Jews from Kosher valley (Hollywood) are very confusing like Barbnra Strieand with her 22,000 sq ft. Air Conditioned barn 24-7 and her anti Iraq war rhetoric UNTIL Israel was attacked then she's quiet as a Kosher mouse.

And how about Al Gore not Jewish but known as the Green "Save The Planet" stiff, with his Private Lear jet ... just perplexes people!

MY SWEET PEA-- DO YOU LOVE HER?

2006-11-27 14:46:19 · 2 answers · asked by sarahjc23 3 in Other - Society & Culture

I have a long time friend, who constantly and intentionally falls "in love" with men who are openly gay, or in the most recent case "privately gay" to other people but not her (he uses her to take home to families). I meet most of these guys who she adores, who are great, smart and fun men, BUT... they dont have an interest in a romantic relationship with her for obvious reasons.

The recent one uses her to take home to his family, as well as uses her for money. He invites his male "Friend" over to stay at her apartment (the two guys live on the other side of the country).

I'm tired of it... do you think she should get counselling? How do I convince her, that the reason she hasn't had a boyfriend, is because she's too scared to date someone who's straight? She's 25 and never been in a relationship. She's really tall, kind of chubby and awkward. How can I help or support her? (without freaking out on her and this abuse).
