So basically Joshua told the sun to stop, but people can't stop the sun, its always in the middle. The bible is saying that we live in a geocentric universe but we live in a heliocentric one. What do Christians think of this? Sorry for grammar and stuff but I'm in a rush :O. I don't mean to insult anyone by the way.

I have a beautiful headdress and the feathers have become dusty over the years. Any ideas on how I could clean it? The feathers are white and I do not want to do anything that would hurt them or the headdress.

Firstly, no offence to Christians, but what I am about to ask might offend some of you. If you still want to continue reading, please do.

#1. Who is God in Christianity? Some say its Jesus, some say its Jehovah.

ok, fine, if its Jehovah. We'll sub Jehovah as 'God' (like, Let X be God)

#2- If God is god, then who is Jesus? Some say he's the son of God. In Islam, Jesus is a Prophet (PBUH)

#3- If he is Son of God, that means God gave birth? God and Mary.... (omg, I am SO not going there!!!) or how do you explain "SON of GOD"???

#4- Is your god omnipotent?

#5- Why are there so many bibles around? What's the difference between bibles? Who compiled the bible?

#6- Why was the Testament allowed to be edited? Old and new- if it was the word of god, who gave people permission to change its contents and declare them as they wish?

Last night there was a House fire down my block. So when I saw the fire I went down to the house on fire ....But two weeks prior while i was visiting their yard sale that they invited me to. Their 3yr old bratty kid bit me behind my leg on my calf ...I AM THE 4TH BITE VICTIM THIS KID BIT..So when i saw these little puppies whimpering&Mother My instinct was obviOse but while i was going towards the dogs ....They told me to forget the dogs and to help them and their kid first ....No Way Was I Touching that kid Ever ......They did not even care about the poor helpless dogs/pets but i did.........So When the little puppies started crying (very loud crying) my heart just sank.... I had to save them and their mother first ...The puppies&mommy dog were in more trouble than anyone else in the house....Now people are complaining that some of the family members had some minor burns because I did not help them first.(The ones who just stood there and did not help are the ones complaining)

I met my boyfriend 10 years ago, I was hot and young, he was young. It was at a bar, I was dancing with my shirt off and he approached me. I was 28 and he was 18. He came home with me and we had sex. I didn't want a relationship because I had just gotten out of a relationship. 2 yrs later we met again and had another one night stand. He wanted a relationship but I still wasn't ready for a relationship. 4 yrs ago I met him again at a bar. I've always liked him and this time I was ready for a relationship. I started dating him and he moved in with me. He and I have been attracted to each other for almost 10 yrs. When he moved In I didn't know he was addicted to drugs. When I found Out I kicked him out. (I've done drugs but wasn't addicted) we got back to gether because we still loved each other. But drugs started controlling his life and I on the other had gave up my bar life and focused on real life and my job. I spent 2 years supporting his drug habbit until the police

I don't think normally im always focused on death and i can't relax and just live life... im to worried about choking on something, getting soap in my mouth and any muscle spasm that appears or etc i think its serious and worry about that .... what can i do to change this? to enjoy life like i use to before my mind went wacky?

I have been searching to find where I fit in the spiritual communty. I have reached a time in my life that I want to dig deeper into what I do and do not believe in, and would in fact like to find where I fit so that I may find other people to discuss similar beliefs with.

First of all I want to say that I have thought about this since I was about 12. Prior to that I was confident that there was a heaven and hell... Up until I started questioning EVERYTHING. Why I started questioning at that moment in time is probably a subject in another question! Anyways, I began thinking about life and death and my soul/mind/personal thoughts. I was raised in church, and the reason I believed in heaven was basically the same reason that I believed in Santa. My parents and others close to me told me so.
I eventually came to the conclusion that I do not believe in heaven or hell, a god or a devil. I did however find science a very interesting subject at an early age, and I am a very analytical person in general. I would take a T.V. apart just to see how it worked. That should tell you a bit about what I think is a common personality of a "non believer". (Analytical in nature) Seeking the truth in everything, some other characteristics may have to do with trust. If you have trust issues you will find yourself doubting things in life much more, as I know I do.
I have read alot and had many discussions on this issue, but above all else I have lost countless nights of sleep over it as well.
I believe that the belief of "heaven" is a basic human necessity. What I mean is that if you do not believe in a "supreme being" and/or a heaven, you do not have the hope that brings on most peoples happiness in life. To believe in something like that I could only imagine would have the opposite effect of what I have gone through. Peace of mind, tranquility, hope, faith, optimism, etc...
So, I feel that heaven in the concept that it is an actual place one would go to after death, and ones soul/mind would live on is incomprehensible and totally unblievable for me.
I do however believe that heaven can be a state of mind for the living. In my personal belief, someon who does ACTUALLY believe in any supreme being and an afterlife is in fact in Heaven.
Though I cannot change my personal views of this belief, I do want my children to believe in God and Heaven. After all, what father would not want their children to go to/be in Heaven?

Sometime, my college pals and I will chat, and it seems like every damn person in the room is staring over in my direction. I am not chatting during class, and I am not talking very loud either. Its like everyone is staring at me all of a sudden. Is this just curiosity? I know, when others talk I couldn't give a rats a * * what they are talking about. Why do they do this?

Not tell spouse exactly how much I spend on it. I don't exactly lie. I just am very vague. It cost so much, and he doesn't understand and is kind of tight. I make my own money and never spend a lot on myself, but I love to give!
