Yes. It is sad all the people who pray Jesus into their hearts. It is nowhere in the bible.
Baptism is all over the place.
Acts 2:38 Peter makes it clear that this promise is for them their children and all who will come.

Yes, and ...........
Your sins are washed away at baptism, which is done after asking forgiveness of sins from Jesus and asking Jesus into your life to lead it. THEN you get baptized in the name of The Father, Son (Jesus) and Holy Spirit. Remember - God is one God in three persons (manifestations), so because it is worded a little differently by the two writers, it means the same.
Matthew 28:19
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
Acts 2:38
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ.
Acts 8:16
They were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
Acts 10:48
And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord.
Acts 19:5
When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

Well, I know that the bible teaches that my sins are forgiven when I believe the word of God, and do what it says. Did you know, friend, that you will have to give account for all your words you ever spoke on this earth, when you get to heaven. That is in the bible, and not just for unbelievers. You have quite a bit to say, I have noticed, and I just feel the need to give a friendly warning, because you are very vocal, and often a little bit "off" in what you say. Maybe don't be so dogmatic, and possibly lead someone astray. It is a dangerous business.

Praise Him: there is no place in the Bible that the apostles bap. in the trinity, it was always done in Jesus name-there is no other name under heaven where by we must be saved. matt 28:19 name is singular not plural, those are titles not names exp: mother, daughter, friend, but her name is...
acts 19:1-6 Paul asked if they received the holy ghost since & all they knew was johns- they were all baptized in Jesus name and the holy ghost fell on them and they spake with new tongues.
keep seeking that treasure in the field, God will keep showing you truth, nothing wrong with truely seeking and not putting God in a small box. Share what you learn-show your light in the dark

That is not a Bible teaching. You get your sins washed away when you confess Christ as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead. Read Romans 10.

From a smart alec point of view.... that means I can do whatever I want, for as long as I want, so long as I repent and accept right before I die.... cool!
From my own point of view, and my own religion, I AM RESPONSIBLE for my actions, and am accountable for what I do or fail to do.
I don't believe in hell, but I do believe that when I harm someone, I will be held accountable. When I do good toward someone, I am rewarded. Not by some reward from God, but by the result of a good deed, the happiness it generates has a direct impact on my own being.
Karma is real, and it's effects can be seen in some people's lives. Over time, we all grow. Evil justs blinds one to the correct path.

I believe the credit goes to John the baptist who supposedly baptized Jesus but I'll deal with atonement and morality in a godless world through personal responsibility and the justice
system.

your sins will be forgiven when you baptized in Jesus name but if do sin again you will not be forgiven anymore, i mean if keep on repeating your sin. a child should not be baptized because he or she is still cleared of sin and when you baptized, do it to matured perons to wash away the sin b ut of course on baptisimal way not pouring drops of water on the forehead as catholics do

The baptism is just the physical manifestation of the washing the way of sin.To do anything else would say you have the power to save yourself. As Paul said salvation is a free gift, lest no can boast.

Baptism signifies (but does not accomplish) the forgiveness of sins. The rite belongs to the Lord, not to Man.
