Something must have happened to make you fear death. We all fear death to a certain degree, but we have to learn to accept it. Usually after someone we love or someone close to us dies we begin to think more of our own mortality. Also the news and magazines are filled with stories that tell you not to eat this or that because they'll give you cancer. They scare the crap out of you. Stay away from news shows and hospital, doctor and forensic police shows. These shows only give you more to worry about. Stick with comedys and fun shows for a while, they'll make you think happy thoughts.. Also try focusing on other things. As soon as one of those scary thoughts come to mind, immediately say to yourself No, I won't think about this. Then think about something happy. Maybe something you did as a child or something you saw on one of those comedys. Picture it and dwell on it instead. Keep doing this and eventually the thoughts should get fewer and further between. It won't happen right away so you have to keep at it. Don't give up.

You will also need to come to grips with the fact that we are all dying. Some sooner then others. Somethins it helps just thinking to yourself that it will do you absolutely no good to worry about it, what will happen will happen no matter if you worry or not. If you can't change it, what good does it do to worry about it. Decide to worry tomorrow instead of right now. Then tomorrow tell yourself the same thing. Keep putting it off.

Some people worry about death because they don't believe in an afterlife. And everyone fears the unknown. If you don't believe in god, maybe you should go to see a pastor or priest and see if you can find faith. But if you don't believe in god or don't want to, and if nothing else helps then go and see a phycologist. Maybe they can help you to find what has triggered this fear and in finding it can help you put it behind you.

Good luck, I hope you find your way out of this.

First of all don't ask for advice on here. Opinions are nice but who are we? Exactly you have no idea. This might be serious and you could be getting advice from a five year old or an unqualified person. Which most are. Seek professional help if your family is not enough.

Definitely seek the help of a psychiatrist. They can help you. Don't wait while your life passes you by.
