I'm not worried about it at all...it should be legal.

God, who instituted marriage should have some say so over how He would like marriage to be. Rom 1:26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
Rom 1:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet.
Rom 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

The war is for a very good reason, having recently gone through my MEPS training, I got some very good insite into the war.
The thing about gay marriage is it goes against everything God made marriage for.
IT produces STDS. Romans chapter one. Not one case of aids or hiv or any other std has ever been discovered in a marriage relationship where both partners have stayed faithful. That should speak volumes and yet on that you stay silent.

I honestly don't understand why people are so opposed to this. I don't have the right to tell straight people whether they should be married or not, why should I be able to prevent the marriage of two people of the same sex. This seems like something that we are going to look back in history like we do the 60's and be at awe of the prejudice we showed to people. I don't know how preventing homosexuals from marrying is any different than preventing people of different race from voting, I see them as one and the same.

ok I get tired of hearing about the stds excuse. You don't think heter folks who have partners that fool around can get stds? If you are married you are supposed to be faithful. If you were stds free and healthy going into the "marriage" then it shouldn't matter if you are straight or gay

People get mad because gay marriage makes a mockery of the first and some say the greatest institution ever created by God.

People are always scared of change. They automatically think it's going to somehow hurt them. Not too long ago, inter-racial marriage was a HUGE taboo. Before that, marriage outside your religion. Before that, marriage outside your social class. Before that, any marriage that wasn't arranged. Hopefully, one day our legal system will stop being intimidated by these scared little religious people, and give rights to all families.

Because homosexuals are a disgusting virus, a disease that is negatively effecting our society, a disease that needs to be eradicated - not encouraged.
The war in the middle east has nothing to do with the homo problem so stop trying to duck the issue with your "people getting killed for no reason" bullshit.

A lot of people are scared, they are in denial of being homophobic.
People think its wrong and a lot of people do not want it happening around their children, or their children witnessing such things. It is also weird for a lot of people to see a gay couple showing affection in public especially in front of their parents or family members.
Well it's 2006 get wit it ya'll!!!
Although I do have to say I really do not want my child seeing things like that, I know a lot of people will disagree with me but I can't help how I feel, I just feel its inappropriate in front of young children.

I am all for it, go ahead and get married, but I think that the people that are against it are the holy roller types who think you are going to hell if you are gay and think it's wrong so they don't want to see it recognized or validated by the church with a marriage. that is why so many people say have a civil union instead--it's not done in or recognized by the church. people are basically wacko. what can you do.
