I can't excuse what the Bible says just so I can believe in it - to do so says a lot about people who must do so to protect their faith by disregarding or twisting the more brutal and sick parts of a so-called book of God. IF a religion is going to tell me I must accept their God and live by their Bible or I'm going to somekind of hell forever, the arguement must be credible and be able to withstand srutiny - that's not too much to ask, is it?

only difficulty is it requires using only pure good sense, with no prejudging, no closedmindedness, no mindless attachment to received ideas
everyone already agrees [in the tiny rational part of the brain] it will work -

if someone said they had such a plan, would you be open or closed? would you be able to suspend disbelief & jumping to negative conclusions, enough to check it out, test it, examine it?

or not?

ie, how good is your dispassion, your unprejudice, your objectivity, your freedom from stale thought

Theres alot of questions latley pointing out the killing of women and children in the Bible, such as the flood, or the Prophecy in Isaiah.

God gave them warnings, a chance to repent, and yet people, knowing that they were acting against God, decided to ignore it. And yes, their children died, for the choices THEY made. The parents themselves, by ignoring God, brought death to themsleves and their families.

God gave them a chance, were they not personally responsible for what happened? They had an out, they didnt take it.

Believers can try and twist this anyway they wish but it's very clear that even babies and little children who the Bible says are innocent are burtally killed. Sorry, but there it is in black and white.

So.. sometimes I ask dumb questions (yeah I did 2 days ago...) or I'll do something not quite right or someone will just want to offer some healthy criticism so I can do better. Why are poeple trying to erase GHod from the Government and prove he doesn't exist? I read in the paper that a man had scientific proof God doesn't exist then later withdrew his claim. First of all, who would go through so much work to try n disprove a good thing? it doesn't make sense. HOenstly no one cares about how much evidence you find on God we're still gonna believe. Becuase it is through faith we are saved. Also Let me ask non believers. What happens when you die?

A lot of people who are anti-homosexuality will say that most homosexuals participated in sex with another of the same gender when they were very very young, or that they were sexually abused when they were children. Is this true?
