A lot of people who are anti-homosexuality will say that most homosexuals participated in sex with another of the same gender when they were very very young, or that they were sexually abused when they were children. Is this true?

Personally, I don't believe it is, but I was wondering what you thought.

Let's break down my life:

My wife had a wonderful childhood and has very supportive parents, she is very gay. My sister and I were both molested and raped by our father, I am gay - she isn't. Sorry to be blunt, but by just three people it becomes quickly obvious that childhood abuse has nothing to do with it.

No, people who say that really are just tossing out a wild theory rather than taking the time to learn the truth. Sometimes its easier to believe that as a way to make gay people seem like product of some outside influence rather than being born gay.

Sexual abuse happens to all people gay and straight, and at about the same rate, but it doesn't make us who we are.

no, that's just another stereotype/assumption that bigots like to believe in (because to them, we aren't born gay, something had to "cause" it).
I was not molested/abused as a child, and didn't have sex until I was an adult (and never have with a man). I only know one gay/lesbian personally that was molested as a child (my partner). no other gay or lesbian I know was molested...everyone else that I know who was is straight.
being molested, knowing someone gay growing up, having domineering mother/absent father, having gay parents ....all supposedly "influence" us, but none of it is true. none of those things happened to me.....I've always been lesbian, and I believe God created me that way.

This BS is coming from people who primarily have no clue what theyre referring to, so they make up lies in order to form some sense of comprehension. Its sad. I KNEW I was gay when I was about 7 years old, and no one touched me for me to be aware of it. I wonder how they explain being straight? Does that mean that someone of the opposite sex MOLESTED THEM? Its a total crock of BS that people with no brains come to the conclusion of for lack of any data whatsoever. How do you explain the Gay Penguins or other animals in nature that are homosexual? Did another male penguin MOLEST them? Its such childish hate spewing and should be view for what it is. The spoken thoughts of people with low IQ's. Id also like to point out that according to the FBI's OWN statistics Straight MALE RELATIVES of the victims are the PRIMARY molestors. NOT homosexuals. So stick THAT in your pipe and smoke it. Molestors MOLEST not because of sexual attraction but because of the act of MOLESTing.

The percentage of child sexual abuse victims among gay people and heterosexual people is statistically the same. This is, however, not true among pedophiles (heterosexual or homosexual), which suggests that pedophilia is influenced by early sexual abuse. Homosexuality, however, is not.

That is a strange question to ask. People say alot of of dumb things it doesn't make them true. Especially when you stop to think what they're say and how ridiculous it sounds!

Some people have nothing better to do than to bash a well respected community. People need to grow up!
