I believe good deeds are their own reward, nevermind the beneficial impact it can have on our lives here on earth.

but over and over I've read from the fundys that religion is the only thing keeping the world together (they must not see the violence on the news that everyone else sees)

So if you are young like 13-16 is being gay really wrong and how will it affect someones life. Should they wait to come out until they are ready to find "someone" (the one)??

There always seems to be something wrong with everyone, Race Colour of skin, Size, Clothes we wear. Why can't we accept that we all different and respect each other even if we don't always understand it.

I am writing a paper and would like to conduct a non-scientific poll of Americans only, asking "What is the most important American value?".

The paragraph the results will be entered in begins with...
For simplification purposes, values will be defined as ethical beliefs and commonplace ideologies. Some America's most cherished values are (in no order) the importance of freedom, education, religion, and democracy.

I will vote the first answer that isn't included above as best answer.

Thanks!

I think I'm a victim of bullying. See, there's this guy in my class, and all he does is call me names. I'm not sure if he is bugging me because he likes me, or because he hates me. My friends say that I'm a wonderful, kind, smart, attractive girl, and I deserve nothing of what he did/say to me.

Okay, I wear a bit of black, but I don't go crazy about it. I was in Gym class, an I accidently scratched my wrist. In class, he's calling me emo. And I said nothing, actually, I looked at him like I was saying whatever.

In class today, I sit right infront of him. We were all copying something off the board, when he hits me on the head with his ruler and says "Move your f***ing head!" And I said you didn't need to hit me! And I heared him say I was "Hard headed"

Personally, I think I'm doing a good job ignoring him, but it's making me sound bad to people who listen. Is there any way I could tell him to stop, and "Not to mess with me" thing. Thanks!

Not to be a Scrooge or anything but I'm simply curious. They know these people better than anyone else here does, and they never list the person's interests and hobbies, which would help out immensely if they are truly stuck for ideas.

Or is it simply the Christmas version of the million and one "what should I dress up as for Halloween?" queries?

Donald Trump is an amazing man, and is a true and proud American. I think we could all learn a thing or two from that great person. It just shows you that there ARE good people left in this world, and that may be the reason people do not like Donald ... because they are jealous that he is a happy man with a beautiful loving wife.

Donald donates millions to charity events, and is a great business man. I have read all of his books, and it has changed my life.

Focus on things that are important for the vital existence of mankind, instead of focusing on spiritual pipe dreams.

Practice kindness to those who deserve it, but don’t waste your love on those who are ungrateful. And avenge those who deserve it, instead of literally turning the other cheek.

Follow your feelings, pursuing that which leads to physical, mental, or emotional gratification, not worrying about what others say are “sinful.” Choose to enjoy the pleasures of the world rather than giving in to a spirit of religious abstinence.

Choose undefiled wisdom instead of hypocritical self-deceit.

These are essential concepts taken from the "Nine Satanic Statements" from the Satanic Bible...Are you living by these, or by the word of the living God?

Is it none, because fundamentalists are incapable of change?
Or none because Fundamentalists like to live in the dark?
Does this represent 1.a paridigm of the dichotomy in our civilisation between variously, extremists, moderate people of faith and atheists?
2.A subverse attempt using the vehicle of humour to stir up and inflame the already troubled and divided culture?
3 A daft joke?
Nutters and fanatics only please, they give all of us the best larfs. Also I promise I will give all the best most inflamed loony rants a share in the royalties for my new book entitled 'God, and why hasn't he found me yet?' Cheers!

Yule, good ol' Yule. Falls on the Winter Solstice, and is usually celebrated on the Solstice day, or December 21st.

It is similar to Christmas... as Christmas was completely ripped off of Yule.
