Nicely put - its also about time we all realised our similarities too - we all bleed red! .... and for those that choose to believe, we all believe in the same fundamental divinity and we are in fact all connected by pure energy without exception!!!!!
and when we can accept that then perhaps we can realise that by hurting another we are actually hurting ourselves!

I agree with yuo but i have no idea how to stop. If we put half as much energy in to sorting out our own probems instead of clomouring to badmouth and analyse everone else then the entire world would be a better place. It strikes me as sad that the word religion means to me only one thing nowadays, arrogance and judgement. Thats not what it is but people have turned it into that. You know, christians bash muslims, muslims bash christians whatever. It disgusts me, neither know for sure they are right so how dare they condemn the other. live and let live i say lets be happy. I wish it would happen so much!

no.
we havent evolved (yes, evolved) as a society far enough to be inthat position. the majority of the population isnt smart enough or educated enough to see that besides the small things that make us different we are all the same.
ask this question in 20 or 30 years (maybe more) and the answer might be different.

Thinking negatively always brings me down. To me it's better to build a person up than tear them down. You can flatter a person all day long but it takes just one negative put down to make them feel bad.

Well its human instinct to be distrustful. I don't judge people negatively because of their skin colour, but it is not good to see the good in everyone because that leaves you open to be taken advantage of. In my experience with most people you give them an inch and they take a mile. It is actually quite amazing how many ar*seholes, ponses and pi*s takers there are about. A friend of mine once said to me his motto in life was to think of everyone as a potential ar*sehole till they proved themselves otherwise, that doesn't mean be horrible to them, just to be aware. I agree with him.

It's woven into the fabric of human nature. Fears and/or insecurities cause us to react negatively to those who we don't agree with or understand.
You won't get rid of it very easily, it's tough to change millions of years of psychological evolution.

Christians are taught not to. "We are all one in Christ." We are told in many places in The New Testament not to judge one another, to treat rich and poor, black and white, male and female, with equal respect.

True true. Our fallen nature compels us to compete negatively and unfairly against each other. Sad but true, Rachel.
