A Mother's ring or bracelet is special--it is set with the birthstone of each child! As a mother, I'd LOVE one!
That said, does she like to cook? A good set of knives is a great gift, but pricey.
Does she have hobbies? Something for her hobby!
Tickets to a concert or show are great (even better if you go with her).
CDs or DVDs?

Women love to wear cologne, so save her some money and you get it for her.I always thought those bracelets with Mother on them were too cute. But no jewelry, cologne or Flowers she can enjoy during the Christmas crowd at her house...

My mom's probably consistently chilly. . . so issues like gloves and scarves tend to bypass over properly. easy jewelry (like purely primary styles of issues which you lose or harm over the years) ought to no longer be a bad theory in case you already know style of what she has a tendency to placed on. while people get to be a undeniable age and look to have already got each and every thing they like. . . there is often foodstuff. You consume that and it is going away, meaning you will nevertheless prefer some greater later. Is there something you already know of she likes that the two she would possibly no longer get very usually or that must be apparently diverse from what she regularly has? Or do you already know of something rather good that she easily desires to attempt? possibly even cooking for her or a latest card to bypass out someplace must be useful.

A cute Christmas ornament? Pier One has some really nice ones in gift boxes for 12-15 dollars. They are hand painted, and look exquisite.
How about a photo album or scrapbook, decorated by you, with pictures of your family, friends, etc? Or her family, parents, grandparents?
A box of chocolates, flowers, and a "gift certificate" for a night out, whenever she wants.
You could always go with a luxurious scarf, glove, and hat set.

How about the GIFT of TIME -- you go over to her home, and OFFER to let her sit for a day or two -- and just do ALL the chores -- the Yardwork, the cooking, the cleaning, whatever she needs to have done!

Moms are usually pretty easy. Even if they have expensive taste, they will probably appriciate anything homemade or well thought out from one of their children. Does your mom cook? Does she read? Does she do any needlework? Is she fashionable? Post more details about mom and you'll probably get better ideas.
