Focus on things that are important for the vital existence of mankind, instead of focusing on spiritual pipe dreams.

Practice kindness to those who deserve it, but don’t waste your love on those who are ungrateful. And avenge those who deserve it, instead of literally turning the other cheek.

Follow your feelings, pursuing that which leads to physical, mental, or emotional gratification, not worrying about what others say are “sinful.” Choose to enjoy the pleasures of the world rather than giving in to a spirit of religious abstinence.

Choose undefiled wisdom instead of hypocritical self-deceit.

These are essential concepts taken from the "Nine Satanic Statements" from the Satanic Bible...Are you living by these, or by the word of the living God?

Whew...You had me scared there for a minute, Whitehorse. I thought you had gone to the other side. The consequences are too real for me living the fast life.

These may sound good to some at first glance, but following them seems like it would lead to trouble- where would we be if no one dreamed bigger than just living, or if we all sought revenge instead allowing for proper courses of justice, or never thought about how our actions could hurt others. Look around, and seek the truth, there are better principles to live by

Make sure I got it right, Only be nice to those who deserve it, so you dont have to help others. Seek revenge, follow your feelings, so I guess thats the part that makes it okay to act out however you want to, because your feelings are all that matter, enjoy the pleasures, so eat like a pig, have all the sex you want, curse like a trucker.

And after ALL that, it says DONT choose hypocritical self deciet????

Wow, that makes less sense than ANYTHING Ive ever read in the Bible. Pretty much gives you license to be a criminal of any sort, as long as your honest about it!

By the third paragraph i was thinking to myself "these sound like the creed of satanism." You should have left the 5th paragraph off to get an honest reaction.

In reading them however i did notice a strong paralell in the actions of modern fundamentalist Christians. Very interesting indeed.

Funny, I thought they sounded familiar!

1. I guess I go by that...more or less.

2. Very wise, although I'm not a huge fan of vengeance in most situations.

3. Absopositively! Truer words have never been spoken.

4. Ditto #3.

My biggest rule is to live MY life by MY rules. So I'll never ascribe to any list of rules to live by.

I like some of the principles that you gave, but satanism makes it seem like the only important thing in life is worship of the self. Why don't you add the rest of the Principles for us.

Here are simples rules to live your life by

1) Try to leave things better than you find them
2) Help others when you can
3) Do what you want as long as you are not harming yourself, others, or the world around you
4) Expect people to live down to their lowest impulses. In other words, hope for the best, but prepare for the worst.

This is all you need know to live a happy and successful life.

Each of these ideas contradict the reachings found in the Holy Bible.

It is strange that you list the source of these practices, but most people live acording to these ideas.

It all boils down to whether we are living for *self* or *God.*

Living for God is to prefer the *objectively important* - that is, the wider good, the objective good, the good in itself.

Living for self is to prefer the *subjectively satisfying* - that is, to prefer what panders to pride and concupiscence.

Living for the subjectively satisfying is to be shriveled, small, and petty as a person - a tin tyrant in his universe in which he is the center.

Living for the objectively important is to be large souled, generous, expansive, having integrity and moral beauty.

How about keeping the Laws that are written in your scriptures as commanded?

Deuteronomy 12:8 Ye shall not do after all the things that we do here this day, every man whatsoever is right in his own eyes.
