I once asked a friend what her views on religon was and she told me this.

She thinks that at one point in time, many moons ago there was only one main Religon. She thinks that over time this Religon had shattered into little pieces (like broken glass) and a whole bunch of people took a piece of it and travled along to all ends of the world with them. She now believes that this Religon will one day get peiced back together as more and more cultures come together and share their beliefs.

What's your belief on this ?? what are your views on Religon ??

Honest if naive question. What are gay saunas about, and is there any etiquette to adhere to? New to the scene and thinking of trying one out in London, any suggestions?

1- In the Old Testament, many cases were mentioned where people were paying prostitutes to have sex. Is it OK to do so? Is there a punishment for adultary?
2- Are the stars related to destiny in Judaism?
3- Is it true that Jews shouldn't be in the promised land (Jerusalem) until the messiah appears?
4- Where can I read on the internet what was written in the tablets that God gave to Moses on the mountain? Where to find the most reliable text?

Please believe that I'm asking these questions with the best intentions.

Many people ask "will Christ or God accept a person if they are gay?" Well I would like to point out a few simple logical points.

After extreme study of religion not only Christianity i started to understand what is sin and what is not. Now you can say "ok here is a list of sins don't do them", but by fact there are many moral standards various societies hold as wrong. Something not mentioned by a holy doctrine may be illegal by a state law.

Now when we do things in vein(know its bad and doing it anyway for whatever motive) this is a sin to yourself and God.

Now being gay isn't so simple, in all cases. I am sure people do lustful actions for the plessure of it being wrong. I know I have. Anyway if a person is born and has these feelings that are true and just, I don't feel they are a sin and neither should anyone else. Now if a person acted out of a perverted lust, yes it is a sin period. It's comparable of being drunk. Ever do something you regret by morning?

Agree?

I would say yes because all of humanity new God after the great flood, and the sins of the father are handed down to their sons, so if someone didn't pass God onto their family the whole family pays. Is this logical?

How does condition genesis explain that Samara and Annatta do not contradit one another about the existance of a self. I wonder (my actual question) is does it really explain how Buddhism can adhere to both. It seems to make the problem of having a self (or no self/Annata) even worse. What are your thoughts???

Weather your democratic or republican or other .You have your point of view .Can't we atleast agree that what we all want is a better america for us ,yet it is my opinion that if this answers is any indication of how americans feel about one another ,then we might just be headed for a civil war.I am no exception I am guilty of hateing, but I just realized that no matter what I say I have my opinion & you ,yours.Lets try not to hate so much. Most of the things I've heard on here is speculation at best from all sides over subjects & situations we will never have real answers to.We need to be on the same team.''UNITED WE STAND,DIVIDED WE FALL''.

It seems like most sins have a purpose - to stop people from hurting other people. So why is being gay a sin?

I don't want to hear the pedophile argument, since there is NO evidence that homosexuals are more likely to be pedophiles.

Also, the fact that a gay couple can't produce children shouldn't count for anything, since there are plenty of straight couples that can't have children for one reason or another, or just choose not too.

And the species won't go extinct if we allow gay people to get married - they only make up about 10 - 15% (according to most studies) of our already-overpopulated world - frankly, we could use less people having kids.

Finally, there are over 500 species in nature that practice homosexuallity, so the 'it's not natural' reason doesn't stand up to scrutiney either.

So, why is being gay wrong if it doesn't hurt anyone, is perfectly natural, and might actually help population problems?

I'm not looking for the dictionaries, or wikipedia's definition, or whatever else some smarmy/condescending dude or whatever will try to cut and paste or tell me to go read, thanks.

I want to know your definition of what is good. How you live it or don't live it.
I want to know if you think societies standards of good are moral or immoral, and the same for religions standards of good. Or any other group or individual standard.

Even better, what is a standard of good anyway? I mean, what does that even --mean--

What is good? Is it a good feeling, or the abstinence of a good feeling?

If one were to believe in God, or Gods--anything, how does this entity define your notions of good. What is it about this thing that tells you what is good if it does so, and why?

Just, what in the world is good?

Note: I've noticed that some people come in to give lude/rude answers just for the sake of being jerks. Well, if that's what you've come for, budge of.

Thanks to those who take this seriously.
