God showed us what true love is when He sent his Son so we might live.
John 15:13
Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends

I think love is an element of God, but I don't think they are the same thing. I don't think God is always loving because God causes suffering. Then again pain and love are so intertwined? Experience (as in pain), as much as it builds the capacity to see, appreciate, or experience love, is still not love. I think God is more experience and acquired understanding than love. Maybe this distinction is not necessary either. Maybe it is enough to love God, and not know God. I do not belong to any organized religion, though.

You can not compare between God almighty and any thing else , why? Because God who created everything bodies , souls and feeling , if u choose one of the feeling like mercy God Give people 1% from his mercy , that’s mean all mercy cases which u see at this life happening by 1% from God mercy . God is the owner of everything .Love mean that we are full of sins and God let us life until now, why? God love us . God bless u.

Yes, very good.
I'd like to note an important distinction. There is "love" and there is unconditional love.
"Love" holds all of the nuances of emotional social exchanges. There can be the "love" of a friend, a lover, an acquaintance... All of these "loves" come with relational definitions that can be seen as boundaries. With the understanding that God is all, we see this "love" as a filter of God. As an emotional connection "love" demonstrates only particular aspects of God as they arise in the social realm of our existence.
Genuine unconditional love knows no filters, no boundaries. It does not have an object, rather it radiates compassion upon everything in all directions. Without filters, unconditional love demonstrates the omniscience of God and as such is not separated from God in any way.
The distinction is in the form. Rather, form vs formlessness. Manifest vs Spirit. It can also be said that all forms have as their nature formlessness. The formless cannot be seen as separate from the forms as the very separation would give definition or form to the formless. Thus, all forms of love (or of anything for that matter) offer a door into Godliness.

Love is a nice, happy emotion. God is a deity that drowned the whole world because he had a temper tantrum. Biiiiiig difference between the two.

Read 1 Corinthians 13.
everytime you see the word love, put in the name Jesus.
Then read it again and put in your own name.
That makes it very clear.
I pasted it below
4 Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud 5 or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. 6 It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. 7 Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.
8 Prophecy and speaking in unknown languages[b] and special knowledge will become useless. But love will last forever! 9 Now our knowledge is partial and incomplete, and even the gift of prophecy reveals only part of the whole picture! 10 But when full understanding comes, these partial things will become useless.
11 When I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child. But when I grew up, I put away childish things. 12 Now we see things imperfectly as in a cloudy mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity.[c] All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely.
13 Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.

Yes...... Love is an emotion. A god is an omnipotent and omnitient being that controls everything.
So yes... they're very different.
I think someone needs access to a dictionary.
