1.) What would you do if you were approached by an old woman who just started punching you and calling you names for absolutely no reason? *Let's say she's about 80ish, this happened to a friend of mine.. it was creepy...*

2.) Also *this did NOT happen, just want to know* What would you do if the person standing next to you *the opposite sex, about your age* Just stood there and started urinating, then looked down at their pants and started BAWLING and holding onto your shirt, sobbing on your shoulder?

I was told to finish my drink and leave by the new 'assistant manager'.of my local pub. I asked why and she said because 'quote''It seems ive been saying I would never drink there again'.'unquote'
As my daughter was playing her first ever gig in the pub I asked if I could stay to listen and she said NO.
Im told she just doesnt like me by the locals .who are all my friends and stand by me.
Can I sue the brewery for this? I have never caused any trouble in this pub. I was humiliated and embarrassed in front of my daughter. As it was my daughters very first singing gig I feel really cheated as I can never get this night back again, Can I be barred just because she doesn't like me? Have I got any rights? Oh by the way she is now dating my ex !!!

Devout Christians and those knowledgable about the faith..... what do you know about the canonization of the Holy Bible? Do you feel secure in the validity of the text? Do you feel secure in the criteria that was given for a book to be included in the Holy Bible?

***I'm not asking to offend. I'm a religious studies major and I'm interested on the Christian perception of such events. I'm considering writing a term paper on the holy books of the three major monotheistics faiths so any answer with a serious opinion is welcomed.

*no reservations, all i ask is respect

http://www.biblebelievers.com/the-reason-why.html#Proving_God

quote:
================================
The president of the New York Scientific Society once gave eight reasons why he believed there was a God. The first was this: Take 10 identical coins and mark them 1 to 10. Place them in your pocket. Now take one out. There is 1 chance in 10 that you will get number one. Now replace it, and the overall chance that number two follows number one is not 1 in 10, but 1 in 100. With each new coin taken out, the risk will be multiplied by 10, so that the chance of ten following nine, is 1 in 10 000 000 000 or 10 billion. It seemed so unbelievable to me that I immediately took pencil and paper and very quickly discovered he was right. Try it yourself.
That is why George Gallup, the American statistician, says, "I could prove God statistically. Take the human body alone – the chance that all its functions would just happen is a statistical monstrosity."

Surely no thoughtful person would wish to base their eternal future on a "statistical monstrosity"? Perhaps that is why the Bible says in Psalm 14:1 "The fool hath said in his heart, 'There is no God.'"

They never take part in any inter-faith activities, even when those activities are for charitable purposes. They only inter-mingle with anyone other than JW's. Are they Christians? No disrespect meant, just wondering what the deal is.

Let's start the 14th Holy Crusade, but this time in the name of destheism, the holy war against all monotheism! We shall eradicate all the heretics and their place of theism practice in the name of the Greater Good!

There have been some recent questions about why many JW Kingdom Halls don't have windows. That got me to thinking, so tonight, as I drove 250 miles around Kansas City, I checked out every church I passed. I noticed that all of them had windows, but they were up high and covered in stain glass. Many respondents to the previous questions about Kingdom Halls said that it was because JWs didn't want anyone seeing what went on inside, well the same can be claimed for any church. In fact, a lot of churches do have things to hide, as has become evident by the number of claims made of child sexual abuse. I wonder how many churches are as open to inspection as a Kingdom Hall, such as places where children can be taken advantage of? In Kingdom Halls, the children are not segregated from the parents to where they can be harmed. Is this what other churches are hiding?

I recently watched the South Park episode about Mormons and I was just curious because... well although MOST of the information is far-fetched it isn't too far from the truth. So one of them must be familar with the religion, somewhat. I was talking with a couple friends and they said one of them grew up Mormon but fell away from the church. I dunno.. I was just curious...

You say that the qu'ran is the final revelation of God and it's the answer to all humanity! You also say that the Jews and Christians have corrupted their holy books. Isn't this another way of saying God made a mistake to them in the first place? And God never changes His mind, so why didn't He give us the qur'an in the first place?

just curious

i was just flipping through the chanels and landed on this 12 year old on MSNBC who was 220 lbs and got liposuction. She complaind that dieting wasn't working (i doubt she actually made an effort with the diet) and that kids made fun of her (Boo Hoo if your not one of the "popular" ones then of course you're going to be made fun of).

Now here's where my question comes in. Do people actually realize an effort has to be made AFTER the lipo. I mean do these people go in, get the fat sucked out of them, then go out to the world and eat whatever not thinking they can possibly get overweight again?

WTF?!?!?!?!

If you think deeply about existence it is really mind boggling. Evolution is a good scientific theory, but so what; what was there before the primordial ooze and where did it come from? Different world religions partly exist make people feel comfortable with their exisitence and the existence of the universe - most claim to be "true" to the exclusion of all other religions. Of course, not all religions can be true, so it seems that religion is mans way of dealing with an impossible question.
