i was just flipping through the chanels and landed on this 12 year old on MSNBC who was 220 lbs and got liposuction. She complaind that dieting wasn't working (i doubt she actually made an effort with the diet) and that kids made fun of her (Boo Hoo if your not one of the "popular" ones then of course you're going to be made fun of).

Now here's where my question comes in. Do people actually realize an effort has to be made AFTER the lipo. I mean do these people go in, get the fat sucked out of them, then go out to the world and eat whatever not thinking they can possibly get overweight again?

WTF?!?!?!?!

In my opion if you put in the effort and stick with it then you shouldn't need lipo UNLESS you are saverly overweight.

I saw the whole interview, and she said she had been on diets since she was 3 years old, and the weight was affecting her health. That was supposedly the only reason the doctor did it.

What 12 year old doesn't want to be treated kindly by classmates? LOL

I thought it was interesting that her mother just sat there and was never asked any questions! She never said a word!

I think that if you put in the effort before looking at surgery, then lipo is an ok option. Otherwise, well i hope they just get fat again

It's tragic, isn't it?

There is no shortage of things that people "don't realize" ...but this is probably at the bottom of the list.
