Yes, I suppose that is the definition of shaming. I'm not sure about "the whole world," necessarily, however. Say "the entire tribe," and let each of us define the size of our tribal alliance. For some, I think that is at least theoretically the whole world. I try that sometimes, but I come back to "us Mountain Folk" or "San Lorenzo Valley" as my tribal definition. We're not much into shaming folks. What goes around comes around, you know?

Groups that "shame"people seem to be narrow minded, intolerant and rigid in their own belief systems. Good for them but why ever concern yourself if one of these groups shame you.

I realize that the most part them shame people in their own groups but the rest of us should realize that how we treat these "shamed" people is up to us.
