Reincarnation is a truth ... If one book does not mention it, Truth does not become false...

Reincarnation is perhaps a wrong word used...hindus and Buddhists use Re-Birth instead.

Our soul starts its journey in chemicals...and after each awakening find itself in plants, animals and finally human beings.

As humans we have to learn millions of lessons of pains and joys, richness and poverties, cruelty and kindness, killing and be killed, ...till we reach our next mind evolution i.e. Divinity.

One life is not sufficient for all these lessons. hence our soul, after death goes to another body to learn other sets of lessons

The paradoxes as to why some are born rich some poor, some without mind or without limbs...some from poverty going to utter richness...some spiritual from childhood... can not be explained without Reincarnation

Dont ask proof, because no one can give proof of God or heaven/hell...there are certain things which are beyond physical proofs

Many during the hypnotic state have remembered their last birth.

Why we dont remember past birth? Because Nature does not want us to get entangled to our last relations...so that we can freely learn new lessons...that z why She takes away the gross memory at death..and leads soul to new body with the resultant progress earned during last births

I believe in the Afterlife, but I cannot believe in reincarnation. I do not care to come back as someone else or with another mom dad or spouse, and so on.

How can a spirit live on for eternal life and soul reincarnate? Impossible. I don't believe i hipnosis either there is a trick to it.

Yes, people do reincarnate. There was some study that I read about. Young children, at a certain age, will talk about previous lives. 75% of children do this and it's after they first learn to speak but stops by the time they are 3. I think that after someone dies, they spend some time reviewing their most recent life before being born again on Earth.

True.
As Christ was and is the Great Teacher It would have been His duty to correct His disciples if these references to reincarnation were in fact not true. He did not correct them for these beliefs, therefor it may be understood that Christ does in fact give His tacit ascent to this fact of re-incarnation.

Matthew 17:10
The disciples asked him, "Why then do the teachers of the law say that Elijah must come first?"

Matthew 11:14
And if you are willing to accept it, he is the Elijah who was to come.

Matthew 16:14
They replied, "Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets."

If an "afterlife" really does exist, then reincarnation is the only scenario that makes sense to me. Assuming that everything doesn't just end altogether at death, how fair is it that a baby gets to live for two years and dies and that's it? He only got two years of life compared to other people's eighty or ninety years? Theists claim that babies are allowed into Heaven, but still, they never even got a chance to live... you can't tell me that's fair.

Yes this really happens, some do even remember their last birth. The Discovery Channel had a program about this quite sometime back too.

I hope so b/c it would be sad if the majority of us are here wasting our lives. I believe in the possibility b/c it seems that life would be rather pointless if we didn't have the opportunity to learn and experience things more than once.

I don't remember, but I've read that "deja vu" may be one of the ways that past lives remind us of our past

I honestly don't know if reincarnation is true....but I won't call it false either.

Good question.

Souls do not exist (i.e. know-how does not go beyond lack of existence). hence, thoughts of existence after lack of existence (reincarnation, heaven and hell, etc.) are null. I recommend you study know-how defined by Daniel Dennett.
