Are you purely what you do? e.g.) doctor, lawyer, pimp. Are you purely a collection of atoms combined with a particular combination of potential and kenetic energy? Are you merely a bald monkey with high speed fiberoptic cable? Are you just a lighthouse revealing the shores of the character of your friends and they with you? Are you part of the problem or the solution? THEN watch this 4 minute video and contribute to the world with your response. Good Luck!

The Bible teaches that the only way to escape the need to sin is by God's grace. To prove this point I challenge all non-Christians to respond without hate

hijab is our right , our choice ,its supposed to b democratic countries .

poem about hijab?

What do you see when you look at me
Do you see someone limited, or someone free?

All some people can do is just look and stare
Simply because they can't see my hair.

Others think I am controlled and uneducated
They think that I am limited and un-liberated.

They are so thankful that they are not me
Because they would like to remain 'free.'

Well free isn't exactly the word I would've used
Describing women who are cheated on and abused.

They think that I do not have opinions or voice
They think that being hooded isn't my choice.

They think that the hood makes me look caged
That my husband or dad are totally outraged.

All they can do is look at me in fear
And in my eye there is a tear.
Not because I have been stared at or made fun of
But because people are ignoring the One up Above.

On the Day of Judgment they will be the fools
Because they were too ashamed to play by their own rules.

Maybe the guys won't think I am a cutie
But at least I am filled with more inner beauty.

See I have declined from being a guy's toy
Because I won't let myself be controlled by a boy.

Real men are able to appreciate my mind
And aren't busy looking at my behind.

Hooded girls are the ones really helping the Muslim cause
The role that we play definitely deserves applause.

I will be recognized because I am smart and bright
And because some people are inspired by my sight.

The smart ones are attracted by my tranquility
In the back of their mind they wish they were me.

We have the strength to do what we think is right
Even if it means putting up a life-long fight.

You see we are not controlled by a miniskirt and tight shirt
We are given only respect, and never treated like dirt.

So you see, we are the ones that are free and liberated
We are not the ones that are sexually terrorized and violated.

We are the ones that are free and pure
We're free of STD's that have no cure.

So when people ask you how you feel about the hood
Just sum it up by saying 'Baby, its all good!'

The bible says not to gossip. Well what about in such situations as you tell your family members that haven't heard that Larry is in the emergency room?

What other ways is gossip ACCEPTABLE?

I feel that the world is my home and humanity my family. But
inspite of great people like Budha, Gandhi and many great personalities preachings we find the life is not peaceful in the world. The reason is The religion is good but the people are not
following the religion and that is what disturb the peace of the world. There is a wide gap between the preachings and action.

I have taken a year of German and have begun taking Russian as well, will I get confused or should I continue on. (I'm doing ok now, but I'm concerned with what will happen as Russian gets more and more complicated.)

Don't get me wrong. I'm not ultra-sensitive.

But what if someone consistently refers only to him/herself as if you don't (or didn't) exist? Could it be an oversight on their part? Does such a person feel he/she is being polite by only speaking for him/herself? Or is this self-centeredness when it happens excessively?

I'm referring to instances whereupon it is very clear that the subject matter at hand definitely includes more than just this one person.

For instance, my boyfriend & I always go to church together & his brother-in-law wanted to go- he invited him & then told me, "I invited him to go to church with *me*" (why not us?).

And when recounting a story that happened to both of us, it's "When *I* went to such and such place..."

One instance alone is not much, but when this idiosyncracy happens everyday.. it still seems too petty to bring up. What does it mean and what do you do, if anything?

Wasn't sure how to categorize this.

Thanks.

All right. It's my understanding that the crucifixion of Christ was part of God's plan. C.S. Lewis, among others, claims that the resurrection of Jesus Christ is the defining moment of Christianity. The defeat of death, itself.

Given that, why are those instrumental to Christ's crucifixion (e.g. Judas, Pilate, Caiaphas, "the Jews") often cast as villains? If the crucifixion was according to God's will, and fulfilling God's plan (and, in fact, had been prophesized)... then weren't Judas and the others simply serving God and God's plan, just as much as Christ and Peter and the others?

The whole approach to the crucifixion confuses me, to be quite honest. If it was a wonderful thing (Good Friday, after all), where man was allowed redemption from sin through Jesus Christ, then why don't we treat it like a wonderful thing? We act as though the crucifixion were a crime and a tragedy, but God the Father thought it was a good idea, and without it, we'd have no redeemer. Right?

I am 21 years old and go to a State Univer. I was waiting for my class to start and these to twin sister just started to give me dirty looks and started to talk about me to each other but I could not make out what they where saying. Then in class the two sisters looked right at me and said stop looking this way. I was shocked and confused. They where looking at me first and I was just looking around the whole room not just at them. I asked them if they were talking to be but they did not answer me. I really wanted to call them the b word because that is how they where acting but instead I was running late for the bus and decided to just leave. Was that the right thing to do? I feel like they have power over me now and like I backed down. What would you have done?
