Bible Study? How many of you think bible study is important, and how many of you go? For I believe that fellowship is very important, with other believers....as it says in Galatians 6:6
Anyone who receives instruction in the word must share all good things with his instructor.
-And in Acts it tell us to "seach the scriptures daily"

Also:
Acts 2:42
[ The Fellowship of the Believers ] They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.

--So how many of you think its important to attend a bible study- whether it be a women's study, mens study or both together?

I don't understand the concept of the Trinity--the idea of three different aspects, one God. Maybe those who believe in the triune structure can help my understanding of their belief by answering this question.

When Jesus Christ was in the Garden of Gethsemane, to whom was he praying? It certainly does not appear to me, in my reading of the Bible, that he is praying to himself.

Further, when Christ laments on the cross that he has been forsaken, to whom is Christ referring? Who is he saying had forsaken him? It just doesn't make sense to me that Christ would be accusing God of forsaking him, if Christ were God, himself.

Note: this question isn't for those Christians who 1) don't believe that Jesus was God or 2) don't believe in a Trinity. I want to know from those who believe that Jesus is, in fact, part of the Godhead.... If he's God (one of three aspects, in any event), then why did he talk *to* God? Don't we usually reserve that for separate entities?

Just for your reference, it's not like i'm some farm girl who's never set foot outside the farm. I'm from dallas, but even i know that the two cities are waaay different.

The Bible has had so many translations, how anyone be sure that any of them are true to the meaning of the original text? Also, I wonder if a lot of Christians who are fans of the King James Version would be interested to know that James I of England was either gay or bisexual.

I know of born again Christians (Saved/eternal life) who don't have oil in their lamps full. What happens to them?

I believe the oil represents the anointing/Spirit of Truth, that we are anointed with when we confess Jesus Christ our Lord.
