For whatever reason, it's okay that a bunch of guys made up Christian doctrine in the Nicene Creed, but it's heresy when other religions do the same thing. Definitely strange.

Yep, you're absolutely right. Most Christians really do have to go through this song-and-dance to make it work. That's why i reject the notion of the Trinity. There is One G-d Almighty, whom i worship. There is His Son, who was the sacrifice to redeem humanity, whom i do not worship and is not the same being. There is the Holy Spirit, which is the One G-d's divine power, but is not G-d Himself. That's what i believe, but i'm a heretic who also believes that all religions are equally right and that one does not have to be Christian to worship G-d 'properly', so i'll either be persecuted or ignored for this opinion. Good question, though.

I am a christian and I don't believe in the Trinity, or Triune God. I believe in One God that has many manifestations, but still only ONE God/person.

Good question.

IMHO people will always laugh at things that go against their beliefs. They are however comfortable with anything that is connected with their own belief. I have come to believe that in most case's it is an unconsious fear that the other people might have a better understanding of our realities and they might look foolish for their thoughts. This question that you have asked could be asked from different points of views from different religions. Now ask yourself who is judging who and you will have a new answer that I believe will be helpful to you.

I am of The True Christian Faith... I know of only One True God, Who is often refered to as Father...The One True God has chosen to interact with mankind in two other forms, known as; The Son, and The Holy Spirit. These three forms are refered to as The Trinity. But there is only One True God. The Creator of this universe and all that is in it.

I think it's because they believe the trinity is a kind of, all-is-one thing. They're supposed to be inseperable. Maybe. I'm not really sure.
