Because christians need to validate their spiritual beliefs. So anything good is automatically "from God" and anything bad is automatically "from the devil" or "God's will"
Christians are sheep

the Bible does NOT state that ANY prayer should be "answered". It actually does say (these are Jesus' words) something like "when you pray, don't pray like the hypocrites, who multiply the words and ask for this or for that, as if the accumulation of words made any difference. Your Father knows, better than you, what you need. When you pray (...follows the Our Father prayer...).
as for the rest, if some idiots want to measure those things, let them. Those things are obviously just statistics.
say someone asks God for a 20 percent raise (which no one is supposed to do, provided they go by the Bible), well, guess what, those things do happen sometimes. So, from time to time, just by pure statistics, someone who will have prayed to get a 20 percent raise, will indeed get one. But of course this "proves" absolutely nothing!

How can you arrive at statistics for prayer. All of mine have been 100% answered. It is more than evidence - it is proof. All prayers are answered- I have prayed for healing for many and some were healed and brought back to physical health others God granted something much better- no more pain at all and a healing as such never to suffer any disease ever again, and granted then a well deserved promotion. Either way- my prayers were answered and effective. You have a very skewed perspective and I suspect a very pessimistic view of life. Not getting my way does not mean that the prayer was not effective. God can see the whole picture and I only see a very limited view of things. Who are you to question God and His ways? Have you hung the earth on nothing?

Does "high success rate" mean getting the answer from God that you want?
Is "failure" when God's answer is no?

I would expect a clown to know what prayer is all about.. I will tell you but understand. You God haters are to smart to see the simple things...
Prayer isn't a please do for me, please give me, please make this or that... Prayer is a time to move closer to Christ to become more like Him. To have even a few moments where we align with His will completely.. The better we get at that the more prayer "works" Jim

Let's we put the question of your statistics is correct or not to one side, there are prays of seeds to grow and all the plants comes to earth via their unsaid prays, there are animals that show their will to find something to eat via their acts and all of them find their meal via that pray, we and you want to think and write, just we want to write and without telling it it happens pray is not something we tell For instance all of us WANT TO LIVE FOREVER AND THATS WHY GOD WILL GIVE US FOREVER LASTING LIFE IN HEREAFTER All the best : )

Yeah...something about 'gods plan'?
Although to be honest, the percentage is closer to a full percent...much of which could be attributed to dumb luck...
