That my friend is something politicians don't want you to talk about. Weimer was in charge of the German economy under the Nazis, much like Bernake is our head today. They printed money to fund their Wars and eventually printed so much that other countries dumped it and it became worthless, because paper is ultimately just paper. It has happened under every system of fiat currency ever created and will one day happen to ours as well, Weimer just happens to be one of the most popular examples, If you want to know more try finding a video called "The Money Masters" (its a little long) or reference the link below (much shorter version).

I would imagine it refers to conditions similar to those found in Germany during the Weimar Republic between the two world wars, characterized by hyper inflation and the growth of extremism
