Of course. Everyone does. What you believe is part of who you are, and you can't try to hide that stuff from kids.

When they are older, encourage them to question your beliefs and develop their own, which may turn out to be the same as yours - or not.

If I had children, I would, definitely. I mean, my beliefs (or lack of beliefs, when it comes to religion) are part of my own self. I cannot check them at the entrance and pretend I don't believe. I take them wherever I go, and as a father I would not be able to make any exception.

This doesn't of course mean that if they came up with a different belief, I'd send them out of the house. I'd accept them with any faith, and be respectful. My point is I would not hide MY viewpoint from them.

Absolutely

the alternative is to let them learn from the world and we all know what shape the world is in these days

My children will grow up knowing of Christ and when they are old enough to make decisions on their own, they can decide at that point .
Hopefully I will have done my job as a parent.

I couldn't help doing that. My daughter and I were close as she grew up and she believed I hung the moon. Quite a responsibility. My mother had a big influence on my daughter's beliefs too and that was a good thing.

YES! I want nothing more than for my children to grow to Love the Lord God with all their heart, soul, mind and strength...To follow Him all the days of their lives!

Proverbs 22:6
Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.

Ephesians 6:4
Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.

I live my faith as best as I can and I share my belief in the one true God, and belief in salvation thru His Son, Jesus.

When someone tries to "project" or "teach" faith, it's doomed to failure. That's why you see some people say "I grew up in a Christian home and going to a Christian church...but now I believe...". That's an absence of faith in their life.

A person comes to God by faith. When and where that seed of faith is planted is up to God.

Good luck and best wishes.

Nope. I don't have any kids. Fairly safe to say I'm not projecting onto them before conception...

My baby will be bought up knowing what is right and wrong in the world and with morals.
As I am not particularly religious I'll leave it up to them for when they are old enogh to decide.

I have one child. I allowed her to discover her own way and make her own choices. I did share with her what my thoughts and beliefs are as she has shared her beliefs with me. We have different thoughts but allow each other our own paths. It isn't easy because I wish for her to feel the peace I have come to know but I know it is important for her to make her own choices.

Both my daughter and son, where taught the principles and truths of the bible - and had them go to church, as we also make our children go to school. As to learn and understand. They are both following Jesus and my daughter is bringing up her two the same way.
