Two girls and one guy. Looking for a good pop culture reference that most people would get, or just something really clever.

Thanks!

I'd like your opinion on this....I've seen kids break down after finding out Father Christmas isn't real and my question is this...why would we tell a lie to our children that will break their hearts when they discover it isn't true? We will teach her not to tell other children, but we will be teaching her that Father Christmas is not real. Surely they don't need to believe in him to have a good Christmas??

Here in Australia, it is used to descibe who is very neat and tidy and is very organised, to say the least.

Etymologically speaking it probably comes from latin anus.

How has it come to mean this?

ANYWAY

“People are often unreasonable, illogical and self-centered: Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives: Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies: Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you: Be honest and frank anyway.

What you spend years building, someone can destroy overnight: Build anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous: Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow: Do good anyway.

Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough: Give the world your best anyway.

You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God: it was never between you and them, anyway” – Anonymous

Just because I give Darwinian theory two oppositional thumbs up doesn't mean I'm an atheist. I believe in God, as do a lot of other people who believe Darwin was correct.

This is especially to American Indians, but also to anyone interested:

Some people say the word Indian is offensive, and prefer Native American or First Nation or maybe the name of a specific tribe.

But wouldn't anyone born in the US, or any country, be a native of that country? Europe has a lot of non-whites whose ancestors were immigrants. I think it would be offensive to imply that only Whites are English natives.

I guess First Nation is logical enough, but that seems to be a term used more in Canada.

I once read an interview with Sherman Alexie an American Indian Film maker. He said the word Indian was just fine. I also read an article by a member of the Lakota tribe, saying the word redskin is offensive. He chided people of all races who use the word redskin, including African-Americans & calls it the r-word. He used the term Indian throughout the article-link below. I get the r-word issue

I dont want to hurt others with a word if I can avoid it.

Islam, Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism, Christianity, Sikhism, Wicca, Scientology, etc– all must have different beliefs but maybe there’s a common denominator. Please state your faith along with your answer, and see if we can cover as many beliefs as possible.
