since the future cannot be predicted due to several problems that would arise due to the causality principle and since Nostradamus' predictions were so vague and easy to apply to any other series of event, I'd say no, but honestly, who knows how the universe really works. Hell, I'd say why not believe the Mayan prediction of the end of this era on 12/15/12 (i think the date is wrong). One must give Nostradamus some props for his almanacs though... oh yeah, you gotta also remember that the Gregorian calendar has changed a bit since Nos' times. In fact, the major shift from Julian to Nostradamus happened some 18 years after he died. Oh, one more thing, one of Nos' major tools, Astrology, is severely flawed. Well not really. It's off by a sign due to the change in the earths tilt since Nostradamus time.

I had a friend in school, he had said that as per a prediction, towards the end of the 20th century a young man wearing a turban would come and people would follow him and the world would come to an end.
I don't know if Nostradamus really says anything about this, but you can guess who the turbaned guy can be.

Probably. Many of his prophecies were given in generalities and could fit many different scenarios.
