Bible Study? How many of you think bible study is important, and how many of you go? For I believe that fellowship is very important, with other believers....as it says in Galatians 6:6
Anyone who receives instruction in the word must share all good things with his instructor.
-And in Acts it tell us to "seach the scriptures daily"

Also:
Acts 2:42
[ The Fellowship of the Believers ] They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.

--So how many of you think its important to attend a bible study- whether it be a women's study, mens study or both together?

Yes, it is extremely important that we congregate. As Hebrews 10:24,25 mentions "And let us consider one another to incite to love and fine works, not forsaking the gathering of ourselves together, as some have the custom, but encouraging one another, and all the more so as you behold the day drawing near."

But even more important is to read and understand the bible, which it the word of God.
John 17:3 "This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ."

When I was in High school I went to seminary (or a scripture study) every school day at 6:00 am.

Then in college - I took religion classes (from a Christian university).

And through church attendance, every Sunday there is Sunday school followed by a class just for women (which I love, and occasionally has weekday meetings), but actually right now, I don't go to those because I teach a class for 9-year-olds -which is so much fun.

That's just a long history for - yes, your right, I love the insights I get from others that I would have never thought of on my own.

I think a Bible study is important. I go to one and i feel it keeps you in touch with God. I agree, fellowship is very important and i myself being a Christian feel that we should evangelise Gods word to others. Bible study groups are good for that, and also a good chance to talk and pray with others if anything is bothering you some time in life. My church a good bible study groups for men and women seperatly or together. God Bless you and be with you.

I'm actually in two different bible studies. I have a group I've been meeting with for years. We have such fun. But one of our local churches launched a "Great Adventures" bible study and it really has rocked my world. Highly recommend it. Even for non-Catholics...

I'm also a Secular Franciscan. Secular Franciscans strive to "live the Gospel life." As such it is normal to spend time reading the Gospels daily.

No. The bible study at my church is run by a lady who frankly, scares me. I'd rather read the bible on my own then have her point out hateful things on what we as a society are doing wrong (she has a problem with almost everything).

I fee like I need to attend a Bible study.
It is wonderful to gather with others in a community setting as Christians that is certain, and I say that meaning it, however, I still have not found a church that "fits" for me.
