I feel that the world is my home and humanity my family. But
inspite of great people like Budha, Gandhi and many great personalities preachings we find the life is not peaceful in the world. The reason is The religion is good but the people are not
following the religion and that is what disturb the peace of the world. There is a wide gap between the preachings and action.

There's so much violence because everyone wants to prove their religion correct and then people get mad cause they think theres is right, so they get into fights.

If you hear the preaches closely you will know what is happening.
i will tell you one incident.
There is ayogada satsangh asram in Ranchi India
opposite to that asrm there is christian mission.
Once it happend that i was present in the asram during an annual retreat when people are supposed to observe silent meditation.
The christian mission did not like the idea. They put up a pandal organised a function and blaring loud speakers so thet the asram cannot be at peace.
This is called missionery work!

Religion gets confused with spirituality much too often. Religions are organizations founded by men under the guise of spirituality. They often (not always) evolve into venues that enslave and rob people. They are used as masquerades for individuals intent on controlling groups to do the individual will. They can be used for good and for education, but unfortunately even the religions that are intent upon these contain individuals that use them to advance themselves either economically or socially. Thus, we see war, theft, enslavement all rationalized in the name of religion. Religion can be a wonderful conduit for spirituality, but we must be ever diligent in protecting ourselves from those that abuse us in the name of religion.

Not all religions believe in only one deity. There are quite a few polytheists in the world.

I agree that there have been many wonderful spiritual teachers throughout history. Perhaps if more people were educated about religious views other than their own, they would be more tolerant and peaceful.

All religions don't believe in only one god. That is just a bunch of BS that they shove down your throat in churches.

There is so much violence between people because we, human beings, are insane. That's why. As a whole, we're just not in our right minds.

Not all religions believe there is one god. Violence is a result of the fallen nature of man that God explained in Genesis of the holy bible. There is only one remedy for the sinful nature: death. That came through Jesus Christ who took upon himself the sin of the world to reconcile the world to himself. Any religious leader that does not agree with the death, burial, and resurrection of the Christ is the anti-christ. What fellowship has light have with darkness?

All religions DON'T believe that there is one god. Some have whole pantheons. mine has two: god and goddess. Part of the problem is that some religions teach that there is only one "true" god (theirs of course). More problems come when the different gods and goddesses and their followers have conflicting interests.

Jews, Christians, and Muslims believe in God, as well as the anti-God...Satan (Arabic: Shitan). The one who takes advantage of our weaknesses. The one who seek the ruin of our souls. While God calls for perfection of life here on earth, the other tries to do it's darnest best to stop us from pleasing God.
