Secular I am in accordance to this, because it has been through the mystic, the unexplained events of my life, in which I felt a direct connection with god. The rest of it is just the rind that protects the sweet fruit. But you cannot know what the rind is unless you taste the sweet fruit to better know what the rind means.
I wish you well

Mystic and mythological are not necessarily the same things. Finding someone to explain your experience is something else entirely. "Religion" doesn't cover this. No - to your question. I believe - I've seen. Got any suggestions?

Oh yes sure. The mystical side is the direct experience with the Divine. That I am sure of because I experienced it. Simple.

The mythological side is interesting but really who knows what is going on after all the translations, etc.

Buddha said (paraphrased)--'Don't take my word for things, see for yourself.'

No, I'm a Buddhist and there are all sorts of metaphysical concepts involved like karma and rebirth but Buddhism allows the adherent to take or leave them as he sees fit through the use of his own logic. I prefer to leave them and focus purely on the philosophy and practice of Buddhism.
